Shokugeki no Soma 95 - A Battle Surrounding the "Season"

Souma and Megumi are still in the market (even though all the shops have closed by then)
Souma fries a couple of fishes, they both love the first but the second pales in comparison
Souma mentions the real battle of judging will happen the morning of the final

Megumi mentions Souma'd have to come every day to hone his skills in order to catch up a bit with them
Souma remembers how tough that is by remembering a time he went shopping with his dad
Jouichirou back then told him his mistakes on picking sardines and that every species of fish should be picked differently
He also mentions that to master choosing one kind of fish it'd take 10 years or so
That makes Souma realize he can't possibly do that in ten days and that he can't neglect thinking on the dish itself because of this
Both start feeling helpless and don't know what to do and figure both Ryou and Akira should be planning their dishes by now

Akira and Jun are being interviewed at the Shiomi Seminar's room, Jun's really nervous about it
One of the reporters asks Akira if he really can discern the best fish just smelling them
Akira gives a lengthy explanation of all the components that release smells on fish and how discerning them helps
The reporters even think he's not human
Some of the reporters have an idle chat about how Souma isn't back from the market
Akira has a monologue on how if Souma can't even choose ingredients properly he won't be a worthy opponent and how his real opponent is Ryou
He ends up by saying he'll burn him to cinders

Ryou is also being interviewed, they ask him if he thinks he has one less rival with Souma having trouble picking fish
Ryou mentions he never saw Souma as a rival and that his only enemy is Akira
The interviewer notices Ryou has a couple of kinds of clams and anchovies on his table and wonders what kind of dish he'll make
He then enters berserk mode (that's the official name now) and forces the reporters to leave
Ryou also has a monologue in which he swears he'll make Akira pay for the humiliation on the semis

A couple of reporters are chatting with Mitsuru around and are worried about Souma and how he's becoming pretty much an outsider even after all the attention he had for the vs Subaru match.

Fumio went pick up Souma and Megumi, she's chatting with Megumi and mentions how she's made a huge banner to promote the dorm...I mean to cheer Souma on, yeah xD
Fumio notices how Souma's hit a wall and tells him to close the lid on the container for the fish since he's been staring at it
She also mentions that if Souma only was a bit more even with Ryou and Akira in terms of judging he could cope with it with his preparation of the dish
As an example she mentions how the flavor of the pacific saury changes drastically depending on how much time you leave the salt on it
Souma has a monologue on how time is the key to everything here and has an illumination moment

Back in the dorm he hurriedly drags Shun and Ryouko to help him with something
Both of them chat with Megumi while waiting for Souma to come back and mention how he should take his time making tests and how he should pick his fish the day of the challenge
Souma tells them he won't be picking the fish on that same day but 4 or 5 days before the match
He says that if his plan goes well he'll have a pacific saury that surpasses the season for the finals and asks them to help.
The chapter ends there

My guess is that seing how Megumi is an expert with dried food, Ryouko with fermented food, and Shun with smoked food (all ways of preserving food) he's going to brainstorm the best way to preserve the pacific saury for the final
