What so bad about smalling? I personally had a not too bad impression on him. SAF used his youngsters well during his days. Welbeck, Cleverly, Smalling and etc. not every players can perform equally good under different managers especially different style of playing.

Welbeck still doing good for the team, I guess his main priority given by Le Boss is not scoring but to create space for the midfielders. That's why we saw all the scoring opportunity to score is from center.
