I think the whole Wenger thing is sort of a mentality, for younger fans especially who has never seen any other manager but Wenger at the helm. So to them, the Arsenal way is the Wenger way and it's quite hard for them to accept anything else. You see the same thing with United once Ferguson has left, and Chelsea to some degree with Mourinho.
Regardless, times have changed and it's about time Wenger accepted that instead of his obstinacy. A few years back, I could say that on their day Arsenal could beat anyone in the world. Now? It's more like anyone can beat Arsenal on their day.
