big wins?

we're arsenal we dont do that.

maybe when santi start scoring or walcott coming back or AOC actually getting a proper goal or ramsey getting his scoring intuition back, or when ozil returns. i think ozil would enjoy playing with a giroud that offers the flick passes and with alexis/welbeck/walcott/AOC, the guys that make runs

Giroud's hold up play is nice. But don't think Welbeck will be happy playing on the wings like he was at United. tongue.gif

the winger role at both clubs are different. i might be wrong about man utd's tactics, but it seems like they play a classic winger that primarily stay on the flank.

in arsenal the wingers are actually side forwards, giroud actually drops deep to help hold the ball while the two wingers make runs. i dont think it will effect welbeck, yes a lot of strikers want to play center (poldi, theo) but they all do better on the sides benefiting from having a strong target man anyway.

the difference i would say is, freedom of movement. He only starts at left wing, but got freedom to roam around the pitch.

Example yesterday, starting was Welbeck-Giroud-Sanchez. Got few times in the games where Sanchez and Welbeck would swap sides. Then there was 1 or 2 times also where we played like a 4-4-2 formation with Welbeck-Giroud up top..

i've even seen giroud play LW yesterday lol

doesnt negate the fact that ramsey totally fluffed it, fella took a first touch volley with sanchez and AOC iinm in space.

i dont wanna be critical on him tho, he's looking better game after game. i kinda look forward to ozil coming back

his command of the area is superb  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif

one time he race from his line to catch a free kick at the edge of the penalty area, very awesome biggrin.gif

got my heart in my mouth when he did that, cuak maa he's an inexperienced GK. but what's good about that is that he's less likely to do weird things like szc and keep it basic, which is what keepers should do anyway unless their name's manuel neuer.

thought soton had a few clear cut chances but pelle didnt take it. one time he did a one two header with some guy, long or tadic maybe, and got a clear chance on martinez but skied it. damn cuak. good thing i sold pelle and tadic from fpl team hahaha

welbeck is great defensively, his work rate is great, but his first touch damn kelaut man. i can see why fergie plays him on the wings, makes use of his workrate. up front he hasnt convinced me yet he's better than giroud.
