im playing spinner / helicopter / ufo. planning to get new ball, weight 11 - 12 pounds. any pro suggestion here which ball to buy? Hammer Black Widow? Colombia Resurgence?

I'm using black widow pearl. Seems to be working pretty good. The new black widow venom looks sexy tho

spinner are akin to the straight bowler, it's just that the ball is travelling at higher spinning rate and lower speed compare to the rolling ball's of those straight bowler.
you can either be a thumb spinner or finger spinner; in some case, both. some spinner deploy a high release and spin the ball in the process; a kind of spinner with fast ball speed and less spin; strike will be very much depending on the power.
those bowler from taiwan invented the original helicopter spin where the ball travelling at slightly slower speed with very high rate of spin. this one produced a silent strike!

any ball which is less than 12.5lbs pounds will be just nice.
those balls are mostly designed for hook / cranker bowler. so, the choice will be very much depend on the lane condition, and different drilling pattern too.

hahaha! i am a beginner in spinner. i used to 'cari makan' by playing high rev hook before.
trying spinner style due to laziness; lazy to bring my own ball de
now using 12lbs of house ball and combine spinner with slight hook

eh, naspek, can you check the hammer spider fun ball(i posted the picture the other day) at pro shop where you're playing arr?
size 12 to 12.4lbs lbs will be just nice. thanks dude

do you know which shop is an expert in drilling balls for spinner.... people told me that the drilling for spinner can be done so that it won't injured the hand or fingers... most shop will drill the same way as you would drill a straight bowler, which i as told is wrong...

do help me out here.. tq

go to haikal at Sunway or endah parade...good driiller...any colombia pro shop also good

silentwolf34, check out summit proshop.
i personally recommend him(simon) too. he is one of the good driller for spinner ball.
btw, drilling a spinner ball need an exact measurement of our hold / fingers inesertion / direction.
depending on whether you're thumb or fingers' spinner.
learn to use both thumb and finger as well; this will minimize the injuries / stress on any single finger / thumb.

i've seen some spinner who use the wrist to add more spin as well.
try different method and stick with the one you're most comfy' with.

serious bowler should consider using hook / cranker style.
the reason; better consistency and most of all, lanes and balls are created for / to hook.
in my experience,playing hook is all about maintaining a high scoring game while spinner
is all about converting spares

atak, hook ni ado bermacam namo. ado stroker hook, cranker hook, twiner hook dan lain2 (kalu ado la). stroker (hook kecik) selalunya bowler akan berdiri kek dot tongah dan release ball kek arrow 2 kemudian bola tu akan ke arrow 1 dan masuk ke poket. crancker hook (hook besor) selalunya bowler akan berada di dot tepi kiri (bg bowler tgn kanan) dan akan release ball kek arrow tongah dan kemudian bola akan p kek arrow 2 dari kanan dan masuk poket. twiner lak gabungan gaya stroker dan crancker. hook x besor sangat tp xlah kecik gak. selalu bowler akan guno arrow 3 dari kanan dan berdiri di dot 5 @ 6. camtu lah kut. kalu salah suh otai lain tolong betulkan yo huhu den main hentam jo tuh

* atak, kalu ekau leh dtg midvalley, leh la kito main sesamo huhu. den leh ajor basic2 jo sbb den pun x terer
