I know it's not a new issue but I've face this problem for 8 month already and still don't know how to solve it.
Before that i play smooth like a charm but now... sad.gif and because of that i rarely play Dota 2 now.
I've try almost everything that i found in internet regarding this problem but non of them work.
- Update graphic card driver
- Lower the graphic setting
- Tweak the console

if u are playing dota2 with internet browsers (internet explorer, chrome, firefox, etc) running in the background , then that might be the problem.

My Dota2 fps drops to a level so low making it totally unplayable when i have twitch.tv running on my browser. Closing the internet browser solves my fps drop problem everytime.

I've done that also but still drop. The critical part is when teamfight occured. From 60fps drop down to 10-15fps. sad.gif

Looks like something in your PC is throtling, either GPU or CPU. You sure your PC is in a clean condition? Minimal dust, well cooled?

Yup. Everything inside my pc were clean and well cooled. I also replace cpu thermal paste. Still the same.

Really? I've always wondered what the minimum card is so that I can get an average of 100fps.

I'm not sure but i think medium range gaming graphic card would do the work.

My computer is like this all the time even playing Call of Duty and Dota 2 no to mention. Its because at some parts gameplay is heavy like sudden clash where heroes spam skill or whatever. The best thing you can do is get yourself a better laptop seriously... Nothing much you can do. My laptop (laggy fps) is an i5 and GT540M and my other computer is a i7 and Intel HD graphics which instantly solves the problem.

If you really insist on playing video games, save some money and get a new computer, its worth it...

Your spec is much better than me but still have the same problem.
I guess we need to try re-install the older version driver like ~min~ said.
