I would disagree, even if you spent money on packs, there is no guarantee that you will get good cards.

There's a few tiers of decks in the game,from expensive control warrior, handlock decks to cheap aggro decks. Beginners can always start with basic dust free decks and move up the tiers.

Basic cards are also called the soul-bound cards. They're given to you as soon you join the game. Trump has a free-to-play mage deck, in which he actually got to legend with it. However, it was quite a while ago, the game meta has changed a lot since, especially with the new expansion. Nonetheless, its a good deck to start with. Good luck

Everyone can play in any server, however you cannot carry your data over to another server.

If you are playing on America server, most of them should be Americans, but they should be players from other region as well.
