Blackrock Mountain, Molten Core, and Ragnaros Achievements and Card Backs Revealed in Build 8036

A patch for Build 8036 has appeared on the Blizzard servers, and includes enticing new data for a "brm presale" achievement, and card backs named Molten Core, Ragnaros, and Golden Celebration! This appears to point to a new adventure focusing on Blackrock Mountain, including Molten Core!

The meaning of the "Golden Celebration" references are unclear. Both achievements are triggered by "licensedetected", which has been used to award achievements based on purchases. The "Golden Celebration" sounds more likely to come as a 1-year anniversary reward though.

The Ragnaros card back is listed as a season reward, which is probably March Season 2015. There is also a new card that appears to be used for internal developer testing.

This data came with no new text strings or graphics, so for now we just have summaries of what little data we have.

Blackrock Mountain Confirmed



The Blackrock Mountain Adventure has been confirmed at PAX East 2015. It will release in APRIL 2015.

There are Five wings, each purchasable for 700 gold, or $6.99 USD. You can get a deal on the wings if you buy them in bulk, with all five costing $24.99. One wing will be released each week, just like Naxxramas. There are Thirty-One new cards which will be obtained throughout the adventure's seventeen bosses and class challenges.

-Pre-orders for Blackrock Mountain begin on March 19th or 20th, and will reward a special card back.
-You cannot obtain the card back through a Gold pre-order. Real money only.
-Dragons will be getting some love with this adventure, with lots of interactions between the card type!
-Heroic Mode will once again be available and will reward players with a card back for completing it.
-When a new wing releases, the cards from that wing will be available in The Arena, even if you haven't played the adventure.
