lol finally beat the crap out of aggro decks.. zoo.. hunter etc..
was actually thinking about giving up when my CW get bullied all day over the past few days... luckily I found an old deck constructed over a year ago.. nicely done and counter them back today. just adding a few simple cards such as ghoul and slam made a huge difference |

QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Jul 16 2015, 11:37 AM) did anyone else notice that magic the gathering origins just recently became available as a f2p ? WoTC need to change their marketing strategy because whether they admit it or not, HS is winning the TCG business. HS success solely due to learning the flaws of MTG and revolutionize the TCG market so that everyone can play fun card games. maybe WoTC is still king in real life card competition but they are slowly becoming a cult due to rise of internet. they are not newbie friendly at all. their online version is abysmal. they didn't construct their lore well. if it's about generating revenue WoTC need to understand that people actually have the money and able to buy the cards, its just that they will not give a cent if they somehow feel discriminate by the game developers' own ego. in that sense Blizzard really did a great job and deserve to get all the credit for attracting more audience into the entertaining TCG arena.so far only apple platform. only later in the month will there be a pc version ;x they claim can gain cards from gameplay, lets hope so. Cause if they don't, people won't even bother, cept the die hard mtg fans. i came from a mtg gaming background, so when hearthstone came out and i was in closed beta. i didn't really think much of it at the time. QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Jul 16 2015, 08:14 PM) the only way for card players to play is convenient from their tablet, phone or pc. but their online platform sucked. and they were so stingy with gaining cards, so you only a tiny amount from thousands available .... oh talk about lands.. coz basic is not enough (for their profit statement) they made legendary lands.. how could they expect loyalty when they even charge for basics?yes mtg is far more complex and harder to master. but some of us like that |

QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Jul 24 2015, 02:38 AM) i only got to 9 ... from a huge winning spree with streak wins in a row. but then i started dropping rank :{ try playing the good old face hunt.was shifting between 10 and 11 X_X: for a long while. now finally rank 12-15 http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/216803-the-...one-face-hunter meta this season shifted a bit because midrange hunter is on the rise. this deck counters it. I was lingering around rank 10 about two weeks ago, facing all sorts of deck. I've tried all decks out there except priest, shaman, rogue. The results are inconsistent. So I decided to stop pondering and just "face" them. Turns out face hunt. remains 50% win rate against most decks and I reach rank 4 within 6 hours. so my advice is that you can use the deck above and don't change anything. not even leeroy it's extravagant. really, this game is hugely dependent on rng, i.e. personal card drawing luck. if you want a slightly "fair" game, face hunt is the only "to go" because every card in it is useful and does not require many combos. though, there's one tip you can try playing this deck with more care. for example, take more time than usual in one turn. opponent expects face hunt to take turns instantly and face everytime and doing the opposite you may add pressure on him and cause misplays. exchange with their minions if that's necessary. reduce the life of their powerful minions to 2 to trigger explosive traps. sometimes these simple steps can cost you a game. QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Jul 26 2015, 08:50 PM) hm seems today i win against hunter aggro deck :} sorry if this sounds absurd but the fact that you manage to keep 50% winrate is quite a good thing, isn't it? maybe you can try increasing your pace, for example when cw put turn 2 armorsmith, turn 3 aco, just concede, and go for the next game. face hunter is so popular because of its tremendous speed and efficiency i.e. you can predict what will will happen in 2-3 turns. though, I expect more midrange hunter in your statistics, lack of this deck is direct reason you still stuck in ranks. QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Jul 27 2015, 05:01 PM) actually that sample size was only for the first 3 days i started using hunter. it's still not enough games to really be an accurate picture how well my hunter decks. maybe after 100-300 games then can be conclusive. but i suspect my win rate at rank 9-13 would be somewhere around 40-50% It's very hard at that level ok...what's your concern now? arena? ladder? |

QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Jul 27 2015, 05:50 PM) well since i hit 8 today thought i'd go for legend at least once for the achievement. seems hard unless you have a winning streak rank 8 is decent tbh, imo begin of season better use anti aggro deck such as priest, I don't play priest and suffer a lot thru begin of season though .. lol. first week after they will play more control in rank 15 or so.. i suspect the best time for legend is beginning of a new season arena i give up. i'm not good enuff for that so just farm gold from daily me too farmin gold for goblin packs ... had most cards but d/e them for legendaries and now regret :/ as for ladder i'm satisfied already, although not legend but close |

QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Aug 1 2015, 05:58 PM) kinda like how people ignore 1-2 dmg minions. the damage adds up. so not everyone will want to waste money on stuff like this cause it adds up. its like gambling addiction. welp blizzard sets out a precedent we can play fun, cheap, easy, fair trading card game in our comfort home without hassle all we need is an internet connection. not to mention we have discretion as to the extent of spending for the joy of game. we have to give them that, haven't we? |

personally I don't feel right about this incoming expansion, most of the so-called "exciting" cards don't seem useful in actual play. important issue is, how are the new cards going to break the current "patron-hunter-aggro paladin" meta? there's not an obvious card which implemented to break it.. mechanic and special abilities are a bit dull too, imo.
my most pressing concern is perhaps the cards designed to strengthen cw, come on give the most expensive and decorated(?) deck some boost.. varian is op but we couldn't wait till turn 10 in current meta, where are the strong, cool defensive midranges? ok there's this "flip your card" ability but I for one don't want any rng elements in defending t7 aggros, I want actual subtle, solid warriors. in simple, need more armor mate~~~~~~ lol This post has been edited by juststayreal: Aug 18 2015, 02:17 PM |
