The receipt for companies that have registered with Customs will indicate the GST portion. If the shop tells you it charges gst, demand for the receipt. If they are lying, they will face serious offence under akta pencatutan harga. I expect A LOT of shops will take advantage of the GST thing.

for your knowledge,
U must get the Tax Invoice from them, and also must be printed out by system, not hand writing.
Then if u scare they cheat u, just check wit KASTAM wit the GST numbers on the tax invoices,
if the number show the correct shop name, then is ok to pay, if not....just report, n the person who register (director if company) will go to jail or fine or both...depends.

N also , for your info, doenst matter who u vote, BN or PKR,
GST will still started, as Dr. M plan this for 20 yrs ago. Doesnt matter who win, this GST will still going, just the matter of time when to start.

For the gameshop, got GST or NOT for them....the game price will still increase.
Some no GST, but when the stock come, it wit GST,
so if the shop not register, and he cant claim the GST 6%, what should he do? selling the game same price like now? But he will earn less, so the best choice is....
just add it back to the selling price. But this is not call GST, is just higher selling price.
If the shop got registered, then you will see them print Tax Inv for you and show the GST.

Doesn't matter which.....we customer still paying for them.... thumbup.gif

i'd simply add it into my cost structure.

but from what I've experienced from Singapore's gst system, it's something like this:

game price = $94 + 7% GST = you pay $100 at the cashier.

but instead of seeing game price as $94 at the shelf, it shows $100 already, the 7% gst is already computed for you and stated on the price tag.

Hmmm.... maybe will same as what you say.
but in the tax invoice, must show separately.

Nope. Turnover 500K is compulsory. Lower also can register and charge GST.
But the thing is, how does public can be sure the shop actually is registered and actually paying GST?

Just check the GST number on the TAX INVOICE.
then go to GST KASTAM there to check, whether this numbers got register or not,
if not, then you can report, and send them to jail. thumbup.gif
