Need A recommendation to replace ST50 please. Another vertical line has shown up, and still within warranty period. Panasonic has indicated that it will very likely be a set change now, as this is already the second panel (excluding the original panel) with problems. Thanks!

Which current models use the VA panels? Am looking for a 50 inch. My ST50 is pretty much dead, and am waiting for Panasonic to revert with their proposed replacement set. TIA.

QUOTE(ktek @ Apr 18 2015, 01:43 PM) see samsung size, then go back panasonic see the same size. Big chance is pva panel. use finger to swipe to confirm Saw the AX670K models. Pretty decent. They're 4k models, but am not enthused about the hype, as long as I get decent black levels. What is supposed to happen when you swipe the screen?

QUOTE(ktek @ Apr 18 2015, 05:23 PM) swipe the screen, the liquid will be spread away and recover quickly. thats IPS panel characteristic. if slowly recover, leave grey trail is VA panel. I see. I just checked the specs..it's "4K ULTRA HD LED LCD" panel, so neither IPS nor VA?

QUOTE(supersound @ May 9 2015, 08:19 AM) Depends what are you watching. But I doubt I need 4K for a <65" panel. If not 4k, which model? Am moving from a very good plasma, so I need a good LED recommendation! Thank you. I watch only HD files, at least 720p. This post has been edited by podrunner: May 9 2015, 01:08 PM

I’ve had Panasonic since their plasma days. I have been wondering what has happened to the brand as far as TV is concerned. Has anyone compared their mini leds with Samsung and Sony of late? At the moment I’m still watching a 55 inch 4k lcd tv from 2016. PQ still superb even though speakers gave out last year, but using AVR anyway. Moving to a new place middle of the year, so looking for a decent replacement, aiming for 75inch. QUOTE(Convael @ Jul 22 2022, 07:40 PM) OEM is by TCL . But Panasonic is the one who finetune and tweak it . It just goes to show 1 thing , when it comes to accuracy (hence , PQ ) no one has surpass Panasonic and their can do it on any platform given the resources . The only reason they tripped last year , was due to the limitation of the crappy TV CPU . Otherwise , Panasonic TV is always a pleasure to watch . I probably have mentioned this before , watching anything on the these Panasonic OLED is like looking at a piece of smooth and silky fabric . It is eye-wateringly beautiful . I just wish they get rid of the crappy " myhomescreen " UI . It has been pulling their legs for so very long .

QUOTE(Jenn77 @ May 21 2024, 08:18 AM) Plasma user too.. as far as TV nowadays, I see a pattern of limited lifespan. So I decided not to spend too much on TV's. Due to budget concern I'm going for the 75" MX800. Have you consider this model? How is your experience so far? Tq
