How much is the Spyder4TV?
When you calibrate your tv, do you just adjust the Brightness, Cantrast, Saturation and etc like what we adjust on the remote control or you need to go into the service menu to adjust the advance functions?
*
That's right. It will measure iteratively the colors and tell you how to adjust your TV settings.

IIRC,

Its not cheap .. N if like me - u r not a hands-on-technical-type of guy then itll be more frustrating than rewarding - in de end.. Better let de pros[like bro A] handle it..
Besides IMO, to buy  all tis hardware/software for calibrating and do it once [ or once in a blue moon ] is kinda wasteful..

D
*
Well it's not to do it once. You need to repeat as the usage of your TV will change backlight conditions and the color filters/LEDs with passing time...

Many thanks to our legendary Anfieldude for an exceptional job on my inaugural hdtv calibration.  notworthy.gif I kind of feel bad I didn't prepare some cakes or desserts for this 4 hour calibration.

I have the same situation as you with different Panasonic plasma tvs.
The only solution is to change the hdmi cable.

Yupp. Its strange.
I even reported the problem to Panasonic and they send people to my house to troubleshoot it.
The repaiman even changed the interface card to test.

Oh well is no big deal. I also tried to connect to AVR instead of to TV directly and also doesn't work.

If you guys remember my story on v4 thread the technician mentioned will replace my 50ST50 with LEDTV AS700 but somehow Panasonic managed to find panel replacement. This is my 2nd time panel replacement.

Original unit 1st panel batch dated August 2012
2nd panel batch August 2013
3rd replacement batch Dec 2013

My guess probably this is last and final batch.

What i'm happy about - Yay still plasma not LEDTV replacement!
What i'm worried about - Doubtful if the vertical line issue will appear again sad.gif Official warranty ending May2015, after that is insurance extended warranty.
