after removing the clip lock on each side
twist the heat sink back and forth for a little while to loosen the paste as much as possible
continue lightly twisting while lifting

Check your motherboard's manual. It might has the details of installing/removing stock heatsink.

Do u have the description(model name or model no) of the motherboard? U can find the "pdf" version of the manual via internet.
Once u have download the pdf manual, U can find whatever info on the motherboard. such as fan header sockets, internal usb header sockets & etc...
u need to clean the old thermal paste before u can apply the new thermal paste.
I use alcohol to clean the old thermal paste.

Good luck...

Friend, don't be so lazy la... I think whatever information U need is in the manual, go RTFM. shakehead.gif
U need to plug in the ATX power sockets & Front Panel sockets before U can start up your PC.

Further details plz refer to :
2.4.1 ATX Power Connectors
2.4.2 Front Panel Switches & Indicators Headers

Good luck.

bro usually all mobo have small marking on every plug/slot on its board.. look carefully an identify whether it is for 8pin cpu, 24pin mobo, sata, cpu fan, etc..

read the manual given and it should be easy.. regarding with the thermal paste, u can clean it up with any alcohol base liquid.. just go to any hardware store or pharmacy and ask for alcohol wipes/liquid.. if you lazy to find, just wipe it with anything and make sure no any residue left on it.. then put a pea size of new thermal paste on the cpu and mount the heatsink..
