no wonder. i feel lagness in my friends ipad2. he told me that ipad air most likely will not able to host future iOS 9 well. good tactics from apple to force people to buy their latest gadgets sad.gif

ipad 2 is about 3.5yrs since launched ... if u want to run iOS8 on it , u gonna expect lagness ....iOS7 is the best for iPad2 ....so what do u expect a 3.5yrs tablet to perform ? 2yrs old android tablet is as good as a trash already ... iPad 2 still serve me well , for movie and e-book reading ....net surfing as well..

ipad 2 is legandary. Ipad 4 owner lucks' may not be good. nexus 10 launched 2 years back and it's still kicking ass as long android is able to optimize the hardware capability

ps: i am not a fan of android nor iOS, but i'm really looking into the new ipad air 2 now with its recent bump of 2GB ram

if iPad Air 2 is 2gb ram , its a good news anyway smile.gif

but anyhow , Apple never bother to let us know the ram .... whistling.gif  laugh.gif

in general computing, the ability and the capability to multitask apps lies on the RAM and it's upper cache.... the ipad hardware bottleneck is actually the RAM, so does the iphone 6 and 6+. i can foresee that apple is now playing the game as android does 2 years back icon_idea.gif

iPad 2 is a 3 year old device anyway, and has supported iOS 4-8.1. Started to suck on iOS 7 tho.

If we take that as an example, iPad Air 1 will do the same on iOS 10.

i bet it will suffer the same thing in iOS9 as ipad 2 did in iOS7

ipad 2 is still best in iOS6, although it's still workable on iOS7

never take android as an example ... they failed big time , on both processor and ram management ... android never impress me even with 2gb ram .... doh.gif  doh.gif

i suggest you to take a look at nexus 9 when it arrives. Currently ipad air 2 is on my list because of the apps are more optimized for ipad rather then android tablet...

opps... i forgotten i posting in an apple thread tongue.gif
