dear /k 20k per month, 300k per annum income earners and future GST-able business owners,

pls kindly give me advise on how to prepare paperworks and what to keep in mind to produce world class professional paperworks.
and whats the significance..

imho paperworks is like ur resume.. it reflects who u r, which uni are u from etc
u dont put weird non aligned odd sized tables in ur resume.
or mixing up fonts throughout the page/whole document.
or use nearlee font for cover page. tongue.gif

i dont want to be making silly mistakes my billion ringgit ideas undervalued just because i position my page numbering at the top of the page instead of at the bottom for example.

or what are the sillymost mistakes u have ever encountered?

Serif is the industry standard ( Times New Roman, Bookman Old Style), but personally I prefer the aesthetic of sans serif (Arial, Futura, Century Gothic). Size 12 to 14, single spacing.

Don't send in wall of text if you can deliver the same message in a few lines. That's the main point: you want to deliver the message, clear and simple. Avoid showing off your vocab where it's not needed. Use industry appropriate terms.

Calibri is fine. Readability is more important than which exact font you are using. So avoid things like Comic Sans. Unless specifically instructed to write in certain format (in my case, Century Gothic size 16 1.5 spacing), you are free to use anything you want.

1. concise and straight to the point

Ideally the first page is the summary of everything. People can get important fact/points with a glance if they are in a hurry. Following pages are elaboration of points in first page.

2. fact check

3. spell check

I hate that. Dealing with Chinamen or Jap companies usually got this problem.

I've read many proposals, and what turns me off are bad spelling (spell check is ubiquitous nowadays), atrocious grammar (don't need to be perfect) and not getting straight to the point (seems like there is something to hide).
