I dont think that is EMS tracking number. It will start with EXXX. Yours seems to be registered mail.

ya, they will send you letter, which kastam to go. nvm la, they will assess what is the value of ur item, then u pay for the import tax (depends on %) and sales tax (10%)

Can someone help me on shipping rate?

Using poslaju to send a bag measuring 44cm x 11cm x 31cm weighting less than 1kg ( 0.8kg ), then how much will it cost to send within KL area? and what if from KL to other states? But only within West Malaysia.

The box containing the bag is 44cm x 11cm x 31cm ? If that's the case,

44x11x13 = 6292
6292/6000 = 1.049 kg <-- it is more than 0.8kg, so volumetric weight would be use.

You should add 10% fuel surcharge, 10% handling charges and 5% GST from the rate calculated.

Yup, Butterworth kastam will be in charge for parcel going to Penang, Kedah and Perlis.
Worse still, they don't even have email there. You will have to fax them the invoice or anything to proof the value of the items.

nvm, you can just go there, very simple only. go there let the valuer make a valuation and pay money. there's a nice valuer by the name Encik Eding. If you get him, high chance he will let you go

the kastam is basically inside the post office, very small only. you can see the location here

plan to go there today,btw if go there need to fax them first or just go thru?because i just receive the kastam letter yesterday..and i dun have an invoice..they really need the invoice or not?..can i simply just state the value of my item then pay the tax?

Volumetric weight is used because your item must be big in size.

i wanna send some stuff to us but if can fit into envelope, can i send as mail like tht? cuz if that way i think it's muchhhh cheaper compared to parcel!

will it matter if theres something hard in the envelope? for example, a small tube of gel? and shipping should be very cheap right . i feel damn tak puas hati to pay 20+ ringgit for shipping . if i can fit in envelope, can be considered mail ?
