Does your battery lasts you the whole day without charges in between? Say some surfing, whatsapp, some calls and occasionally some games?

Both the 6 and 6+ will definately last you a day's usage with your said of usage. Mine comes to average 1 1/2 days, even with the 6 if no gaming is involved.

Then maybe I'll be ok with the 6. My iPhone 5 previously would be dead by 2pm everyday (unplug from charging at about 6am)...

i had done some battery tests of my own and found the battery on the i6+ a beast.
on a full charge, i manage to power thru entire weekend, with still some life left to go thru 1/3 of a monday. 100% on friday 5pm, 10% on monday 10am.
only thing i did not game during this time.

on other tests, a full charge at 8am with 3g on will leave u with 50-40% at 8pm.
if u choose only wifi, same time will leave u with 80-70%

all this without compromising on screen time such as fb, whatsapp, twitter, calls, etc.

Curious about this too. I don't feel it's an upgrade though, more like a switch in platform.

From all the reviews I've read the conclusion is Apple has yet to refine the phablet experience, which is understandable, as this is their first try. And if the price of the 6 plus breaches RM3k for the 64GB version (which is almost certain), then the question is would we pay to be part of the experiment. All this seems to be pointing me towards the 6, but as a Note 3 owner, I would  miss the screen size, and I'm pretty sure the battery life won't be as great.

Sigh. Decisions, decisions...

now i consider
size-don't too big
screen-as big as it can
battery-as big as it can
performance-6 is better
so 6 or 6+ hmm.gif

Agree
what i feel like the ip6+ is their market tester imho.

Those who gets it is like white mice lol.

If they are really keen to commit into this platform they would provide a different spec to cater 1080p resolution

If i change my note3 to 6plus it wouldnt be an upgrade.
downgrade in ram size and screen size
Same grade 1080p
chipset i have no idea
but an upgrade in terms of our face lol.

the iPhone 6 plus will always n forever be drawn into comparisons n if its an upgrade or downgrade.
i have used my share of android(lg g3, droid dna, note3, s3, and iOS (all the iPhones) devices and with all the customization possibilities and higher ram n specs on androids, i still find that the iPhone comes out on top for me.
a higher ram does not guarantee a better or smoother experience.
modern combat 5 was released a short while ago, played it on g3, and a month ago on the i6+.
the difference is very noticeable in terms of loading wait times, n slight lags in the g3.
the i6+ offered a seamless experience even with 1gb ram compared to the 3gb on the g3.
android can offer better specs n everything, but their memory management still lags behind and the iOS is able to get most out of ur iPhone even with 1gb ram.

iphone not only offers u a phone, it offers u an ecosystem and a holistic experience in my opinion.
i was already using the Mac and iPhone together earlier and now with continuity, I'm loving this ecosystem even more.

for those deciding between ip6 n ip6+, In my opinion, the screen size is not the biggest thing u shud be considering, rather the battery u shud be worried about.
many of u would be upgrading from iphone4/5, 4/5s and the screen on iPhone 6 will already be an upgrade in a way. what u will be missing out from the iPhone 6 plus is the mammoth battery rather than the screen.

The only aspect of the ip6+ ( 64gb)  that impress me its is insanely great battery life, I had been using it as my main phone past 8 days. I had put aside my Androids just to test it fully
Functionality wise it can never match any of my previous Androids - eg LG G Pro2, Oppo Find 7, and current Note4
iPhone smoothness - i find previous ip5 is still has an edge of it. My ip6+ on 8.02 was slightly laggy but this had improved on 8.1
Apps incompatibility with the bigger display is still there but I believe is only a minor issue as most developers would had upgraded their apps over time. Many users complain about Whatsapp but I am perfectly comfortable with its font sizing

i never need to worry on my battery life currently.
i can leave my hse with less than 50 and still know i can make it a full day out.

true on that screen issue.
this was dejavu all over again for me as had the same experience going from 3gs to ip4 previously.
over time, all apps will be looking crisp and beautiful on the ip6.

Examples :
- file access n file sharing out to n fro from external thumb drives n ext sdcard. You need iTunes to manage files on phones. Versatility n flexibility loses greatly to Android OS. Jailbreak improve this slightly n not a complete solution as tested before with ip5
- sharing of info is very limited from browser, newsreader, Facebook n Tweeter. IOS 8.1 only some minor improvement only
- email cannot attach other file types eg zip, pdf, office files besides photo n video. Backdoor way is unproductive especially if you need attach multi attachment
- checking image size n properties not possible from photo app. I need to use another app just for that
These are some common iOS issues that affects my personal usage. Those who don't need these will even be unaware of such iOS disadvantages
There are several more functionality issues which I am not going to mentioned as is minor. The above are major ones that affects my usage of the phone

i agree to ur points.
these matters will depend from user to user and also for those who badly need these services, certainly there are workarounds some like u mentioned.
there will always be pros and cons for both platforms, and its our choice to which we can live with or choose to live without and at what cost.

like mentioned, cdma phones do not have a sim slot as shown in the pic below. iPhone 4 for reference only.

the confusion is due to the different variations of iPhones used in the US.

QUOTE

New generation of iPhone has been officially available and it comes in two versions this time, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Apart from considering between a 4.7-inch and a 5.5-inch iPhone, consumers also have to deal with choosing among different models, including A1549, A1586, A1589, A1522, A1524 and A1593.

I see a lot of people buy iPhone 6 in the U.S. or on eBay with global shipping but many of those phones couldn’t work in their countries because there are some iPhone models manufactured for different wireless carriers and markets. They have almost the same tech specs but there are some differences in cellular connectivity. The situation is much better this year as the new iPhone 6/6 Plus features new VoLTE (Voice over LTE) technology, which means you can buy a GSM version and still can use a full range of services on CDMA networks. For example, you can buy a sim-free T-Mobile phone and completely avoid CDMA to use it on Verizon. Some carriers offering VoLTE are T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon in the US; Hutchinson Telecom (3), CSL and SmarTone in Hong Kong; SK Telecom, KT and LG U+ in South Korea and StarHub in Singapore.
As VoLTE hasn’t become popular worldwide yet, I’d recommend you to check carefully so that you can purchase the most compatible one. The model numbers of iPhones can easily be found on the box or on the back cover. The amount of iPhone 6’s model numbers is less than iPhone 5S’, then it is much easier for us to pick the right one. So, what are the differences between those iPhone models? Let’s check them out.
buying a verizon phone in the US is not an issue as it comes with a sim slot. but there are certain models which are without sims and those don't make it to this part of the world hence making them rare to be seen around.

QUOTE

Yes, all Verizon iPhones have had a nano SIM card since at least iPhone 5 for the LTE signal which is high speed data transmission. iPhone 6 & 6 plus are able to use the new Voice over LTE (VoLTE) service to make voice calls over the high speed frequency to currently other Verizon phones capable of the same for high definition calls. They will expand that to call phones on other carriers next year. All other phones will cause the iPhone 6 to make the call over the regular 3G band.
