Actually why u guys like to buy iPhone with telco contract? If you calculate the package in long run (12 or 24 months) you are actually forking out more than outright purchase. IPhone call/data package does not really seem reasonable to me at all.

I'm using my s3 contract with maxis, rm70 for 5gb monthly, and they offered rm20 for a supplementary line for my wife with 500mb data. Which I think is very very good package without the iphone bundled plans

Just my 2 cents
*
Simple, company pays my phone bill in full monthly, including package/dataplan/roaming. rolleyes.gif So I f0rk out the initial cost of iPhone 5 (not S) about RM1,400 only when launched two years ago. Now is time to upgrade and continue another 24 months contract icon_rolleyes.gif

DiGi is different, it will rebate the bill and lower the billing statement, so does not suit my claim.

So, if iPhone 6+ 64GB cost 2,500 with contract, after I sell my iphone 5 for maybe rm800 (any takers ? ), I need to pay rm1,700 for it only. Worth or not ? hmm.gif

No, not Singapore sets. This only involves Australian Iphone 5 and below.
*
OT: I have a friend who bought US set iphone 5 when it was launched 2 years ago. The LTE is not compatible with Malaysia frequency. Hence only 3G connection under Maxis.

I think no more incompatible LTE frequency now for latest iphones.

I received both eligible Maxis email and the subsequent ignore email. doh.gif

Been Maxis customer & MOC classic for many many years, every monthly bill always >rm150 for the past years.
Contract iPhone 5 24-months until Nov/Dec 2014, so still under contractual.
Single line, no sub, no delay payment, nothing. Just a plain customer.

Let's see what coming ...

BTW, received my Spigen casing yesterday from USPS, posted 9-Oct.

everymonth they will charge u EXTRA RM10 under Usage Charges.

f*** maxis , have to call them EVERY MONTH to get it waived , else they take ur RM10 just like that.

by the way bro , 2YRS contract is too long imho and i deeply regretted for signing 2 yrs.
*
Usage Charge is the Service Tax 6%
From your line total usage, add this Usage Charge, will be the Grand Total for that month.

e.g. line total RM155 = RM9.30 usage charge.

to be simple and straight. signed ivalue 100 = 100 commitment /month.

monthly usage total up. e.g 80, in the end, bill charges 100 + 6% = 106 every month lo??
*
Correct, provided you don't have any other items that are not included in the iValue 100 package. Read the T&C and fine print.
e.g.
(i) you go overseas, and make/receive roaming calls.
(ii) you go overseas, and send SMS
(iii) you go overseas, and utilise data plan (never ever ever ever ...)
(iv) you at local, but call/SMS overseas.
(v) you at local, but call/SMS other local telco (check if your package include this or not ?)
(vi) you call some non-toll-free lines like 1-800, 1-300, ...
(vii) any charges if exceed data plan. Will it block, throttle down, or continuous charge until RM250 max ?
etc.

Just wanted to ask last time was offering the 2 years contract with 2 years warranty. Is it still valid?
*
As far as I recall, only once Maxis iPhone package has 2 years contract, and that is iPhone 4.
Not 4S, 5, 5S.
The rest are just standard 1 year warranty, which I believe for iPhone 6/6+ will be 1 year as well.

*
The earlier week email I received was approved. This latest one also same, no change.

QUOTE(Bigfoot-X @ Oct 29 2014, 05:14 PM)
Got that too - except additional info telling me to port-in first.

I'm a non-MAXIS user.
*
Yes, better port it first, get everything ready, including nano-sim card.

will maxis face the problem? Like peak places then 3G slow till cannot load  cry.gif
*
Depends on definition of peak.

Countdown 31-Dec at Bukit Bintang, etc. ... got line/signal, but slow till cannot load.
Mid-valley weekend full house, 3G/LTE still alright at 50-100% speed.

I have to give props to those guys at the maxis thread, trying since midnight and haven't given up... Their level of commitment to the iPhone is unparallel.

Hopefully it's the same for their work/studies as well. biggrin.gif

Yesterday noted suddenly I couldn't had any sound on all my notifications on calls n SMS/whatsapp. Google for solutions and followed all recommendations including resetting network but issue still persists!
Finally found source of problem. The mute switch was on and probably accidentally switch on when I put back on my flipcase. Such a simple error n I fret over it. Never had ever think of it as had never ever touch that switch since day one.
*
If you enable Accessibility and use the home-touch-screen-button, take note there is a mute option there as well.
