I was Maxis users for around 10 years.
I had one nice/surprise experience when I went to Machines to buy 5s.
After purchasing, I was shocked that 5s sim card is smaller. Nevertheless, walked over to Maxis and queued.
Finally it was my turn, the lady proceeded to process my new sim card. Then I asked her how much, she said no charges for me, since I've been with Maxis for 10 years.
I was expecting RM25 or RM50 payment. There was once, I was charged when my sim card was broken.
So this time around when they waived it I took it as a good gesture from them, albeit the small amount.
As a conclusion, Maxis is not that bad, but perhaps they have plenty more rooms for improvement.
LOL...
My experience differs.
Maxis overcharges me when they first introduce the credit sharing between principal and supplementary lines. Then they charged me for the sim change which the CS told me is free. Yes, I paid nothing when I get it over the counter but was surprised to find that a RM10 (or 15) was being reflected in my bill. Moreover it was them who recommended the sim change after I continously screwed them for poor 3G speed.
Talk about Digi. 3G were slow for them back then but when I get a Nokia N9 to test, I didn't have a micro sim. Walked into Digi Solaris and they provided the sim change for free. It was broken after I ejected it for few times to compare and they replaced it again for free.
No doubt I was sold on Maxis Internet speed and device discount, but that was a thing of the past. Now the only reason why you would sign Maxis is solely for the 4G speed. They knew it which is why they ain't bothered with Digi and Celcom outdoing them for Note4 contract pricing.
