Both the 6 and 6+ will definately last you a day's usage with your said of usage. Mine comes to average 1 1/2 days, even with the 6 if no gaming is involved.
*
Then maybe I'll be ok with the 6. My iPhone 5 previously would be dead by 2pm everyday (unplug from charging at about 6am)...

A long term review might be helpful for those who are undecided
*
Thanks for this, great balanced review. I have the same kind of dilemma with the price of the IP6+, coz also eyeing a MacBook Air, hahaha...

Whole day? I reckon so. It stopped breastfeeding from the power plug at about 6:45 AM today. I took it to the gym and listened to music for an hour plus, used GPS while charged into my car ( I feel like it sucks more power than what my cheapo fm transmitter cum charger can give it. Battery is lower after I drove for half an hour).

Brightness set to full while driving so I can see during this hot day.

This is the battery so far

Looking at that it might just last the day but it's still subjective, varies from user to user. I probably might not wanna risk it, hehe.. Anyways, few days more till we get the official pricing...

Yosemite looks like crap on non retina mac especially Helvetica typeface. Wait for next year if you planning to get a MacBook Air. Or add a bit more and get the Pro 13"...worth it haha
*
Ya that's another reason I've been holding off the MBA purchase.. Waiting for retina display..

H+ is Not 4g/LTE. Is only higher variation of 3g
When I am in KL I will see LTE on top of task bar on my ip6+. I am on Maxis postpaid. No idea whether it will be 4g or LTE on Digi
*
Also on maxis postpaid, my iPad Air shows LTE and my Note 3 shows 4G when I'm in areas with such coverage

QUOTE(Connect2USales @ Oct 26 2014, 05:08 PM)
but somehow i still like iOS over android in terms on simplicity. I find iPhone easier to use. And even my kids will choose iPhone over android. But if you ask me, can i choose to use only iOS, then my answer is no.. i rather use both os then solely on iOS alone.. there are things that Android is a lot better than iOS.

And personally i think, we as users should have an open mind in selecting our gadgets. Fanboyism should be a No No... a healthy competition is required for phone manufacturers to keep improving. Without Apple, I'm sure android still stays at donut or maybe ice cream sandwich. As without Android, there won't be much changes in iOS too. Oh and did we just forgot about linux and windows and BB?
without BB, i don't think we will even get apps like messenger, whatsapp, line, we chat, etc..

Happy using the phone of your choice.. always keep in mind, your phones is a devices to get you connected to your love ones, friends, families, colleagues and others. It's might also be your companion as it's also your alarm clock, reminder, gaming console, entertainment media, source of information, etc.
It should not be the reason for you to argue with others due to indifference of use.

my personal opinion..
*
Agreed. My kid loved playing with my iPhone 4 and 5, but he lost interest in my phone when I changed to Note 3, haha. As for iOS simplicity, he learned to operate an iPad when he was 2 years old, haha biggrin.gif (ya, I know, terrible parenting)

Anyone plan to get from SenQ/Sen Heng? Any feedbacks about their free extra 1 year member warranty or paid 3 years warranty?
*
For a membership fee of RM12, one year extra warranty is pretty good value for money. I wouldn't pay for 3 years warranty for any gadget coz chances are I would have sold them off and gotten new ones, haha...

You got a point there.  icon_rolleyes.gif Just curious how good is the member's warranty? Anyone can share their experience?
*
My current Note 3 and iPad Air are from SenQ and no issues so far (touch wood)

On the other hand I remember my brother in law bought a smartphone from them many years back and paid for 3 years warranty. He kept bringing the phone to them for repairs and I remember every time he had to leave the phone there for weeks! He kept grumbling about that but that was many years ago, could be better now.

And in case you're curious to know how many years was this, the phone in question was a HTC... Diamond. Haha..

Yes I used ip5 before this also, the battery drains so fast that it can only last half day usage.
*
Exactly! That time my best friend was Mr. Bank... Power Bank smile.gif ha ha ha

Anyway I'll decide whether it's 6 or 6 plus when the telcos make their packages known officially..

the phone has been plugged in before... so for me 6 hours for 37% not that impressive tho....
*
I can't get 6 hours of usage on my existing Note 3's 3200mah battery even now, tops is 4 hours. So 6 hours for me is impressive enough, ha ha ha...

A lot of fellas turn off location services in order to prolong battery life. Has anyone tried their 6/6+ with and without location services switch on to see if there is a significant difference?

It does. I turn of my all my location services on Androids and it saves a lot of battery juice. Not sure on the ios though as I leave it on but im quite sure it does too.
*
Ya, as a Note 3 user myself the GPS on or off makes helluva difference in battery life, hehe...

The fact that it uses GPS now is very customizable. I used to turn off but now apps are tightly controlled when they are allowed to use GPS in iOS 8. So I never set any policy to turn off for all apps as they are not used all the time anyway already.
*
So by default location services is On then? And iOS manages whether or not the apps use location services automatically?
