where u stay la...uphill bangalow for rich ppl is it??  rclxms.gif

No bungalow on a hill la, normal terrace house in some ulu place....

...called Klang.

biggrin.gif

Anyway, for your info, the reason I port out of celcom is because when I called them to complain, they told me my housing area is in a grey area in between two telco towers and so they admit reception is intermittent sometimes. I asked them can it be improved, and the customer service guy had the cheek to tell me, can but need to add some additional hardware and so far no budget approved. Ada ke....

Next day I ported out smile.gif

I think Maxis, Celcom and Digi have jointly agreed not to provide any pricing until tonight. i.e. when you register.

So to "rush" you to grab the phone without allowing you time to compare.

I'm not going to give them the satisfaction rather wait a bit.
*
I don't think they agreed on anything coz that would be against the anti-competition act. It's either they have instructions from Apple or they are waiting to see who would blink first...

It's pretty funny over at the maxis thread, some fellas who are cursing and swearing at maxis on their plans and rates and what not, and then vow they will buy phone outright, or change to celcom/digi. But the same fellas are cursing maxis coz they can't log in now. biggrin.gif

I'm pretty sure they are helping a friend/relative to buy biggrin.gif

Well, the retail prices are not far off from estimation, and it looks like the grey importers were quite reasonable for their units, well, except maybe for the one that charged RM7,800 for the 6 Plus 64GB, ha ha ha

From telco plan comparisons, it's obvious that DiGi offers more value for money compared to maxis. Wish I could say the same about their network.

Ya bro, I was with them for 24 months on iPhone 4... couldn't wait to port out after the 3rd month, so 21 months of agony...

I have to give props to those guys at the maxis thread, trying since midnight and haven't given up... Their level of commitment to the iPhone is unparallel.

Hopefully it's the same for their work/studies as well. biggrin.gif

Yesterday noted suddenly I couldn't had any sound on all my notifications on calls n SMS/whatsapp. Google for solutions and followed all recommendations including resetting network but issue still persists!
Finally found source of problem. The mute switch was on and probably accidentally switch on when I put back on my flipcase. Such a simple error n I fret over it. Never had ever think of it as had never ever touch that switch since day one.

You've not muted the phone before since you have it? Like ever? biggrin.gif

I just faced the same mute switch problem this morning biggrin.gif

So the first skirmish has passed. Congratulations to those who got their pre order through rclxm9.gif

After almost two weeks I'm noticing the keyboard suggestions are starting to include malay words as well since I mostly text in rojak english.  It's starting to be a bit scary.

Personally, I've been using celcom for the past five years, it has its poor moments but more or less I don't have much to complain about them. At least, it's rarely frustrating to use since no billshock, no big expectations from me.
*
I still feel the keyboard isn't polished enough in the text predictions in iOS 8.1, it can't predict inputs such as email which is frustrating to type over and over again. At least, that's the frustration I feel from my iPad Air

Maybe Tim Cook can do no wrong either. laugh.gif  wink.gif

Seriously that is none of other people's business. But funny how every media in the world is making a big deal of it.

Next thing that will happen here is some political party (you guys know which one) will ask us to boycott Apple products, ha ha ha.

I digress.

So, no news yet from Celcom on their rates and plans?

hey guy, just curious here.. is 16gb really not enough for iphone 6?
i use mainly for instagram, whatsapp, candy crush, browsing, youtube.
i also love taking pictures, and then stores them to my computer. so my gallery will always be spacey.. how about my use case?
*
I think if you limit your apps to what you actually use as per your description above and you have the discipline to keep transfering the photos you take to your computer, 16GB is enough. I survived 2 years on a 16GB iPhone 4 (and my biggest app was Garmin, which was about 1GB - back then takde waze) biggrin.gif

That's good for iPhone 6.

Mine (iPhone 6 Plus) just finished to 1% battery. Here my battery performance. More than what they advertised..  rclxms.gif

The last time I fully recharge was last Wednesday at 8.00 PM.

That kind of battery life is very iPad-ish

Yes, so much like iPad-ish.  thumbup.gif
Very different compare to my previous iPhone 5 and 5S, which it could last 5-6 hours of usage only.

Just wait till you get yours.. then you know how it feel.  tongue.gif

Just to confirm, is Usage time equivalent to Screen On Time for Android devices?

Actually I had no idea. My ip6+ consistently shows usage 11-12 hours with about 5% battery left
I consider the ip6+ battery life is excellent as I only charge it once every 2 days
*
I've forgotten what that feels like - charging a phone on alternate days!

Yes, I think the 6 retail price is to be expected, no surprises. But 6+ is really freaking expensive shocking.gif
