Hi everyone and sifu-sifu sekalian,
I am a fresh graduate in quantity surveying and just about to discover the real world.I wanted to ask if my destination is to be a contractor,which path should I started off ? working in main contractor or consulting quantity surveyor firm?I would like to learn the tendering process and know how the contractor work out the rate.need advice from experts.Thanks

Hi, iwudpreve,appreciate your reply.what about working in the consulting firm?is the knowledge learnt from CQS firm can be applied to the contracting firm?I mean the knowledge in handling the pre tender and post tender stage.Thanks.

what would you suggest the most effective way for me if were given the two options and career path like this to becoming a contractor/sub-contractor:

1.CQS->Main contractor site/2.Main contractor contract department->main contractor site?
