perhaps you should try to record your fingerprint again...maybe the result would be better..

QUOTE(milksoda @ Nov 2 2014, 09:38 PM) How was it ? Can share review ? Really tempted to get one . I got the 1st gen mini so still considering whether want to upgrade to this one or not . Yesterday went to apple shop in Singapore and test on the Ipad Air 2. However, disappointed with the vibration cause by the volume. I turned on the volume to about 50% and the back of the ipad vibrate very hard. Even worse when raise to 100%.I compared the volume testing with Ipad Air, there not much vibration even at 100%. Maybe because Ipad Air 2 thinner than Ipad Air, or the display set have problem. But if display set have problem, then it could happen to any other new set. Update: Saw someone comment about it before. QUOTE(winkiedilwy @ Oct 31 2014, 01:52 PM) Had a chance to play with it for a few days. I absolutely love it. This post has been edited by almeizer: Nov 3 2014, 10:03 AMBad thing is, when playing music on full volume, the bottom back part vibrates, and it's annoying. QUOTE(milksoda @ Nov 3 2014, 12:51 PM) Then good for you.But for me, I think is a no no because long term, the others parts might be damaged due to the constant vibration, especially use for long hour (3-4 hours for 2 movie). |

Your phone ring / sms will vibrate for hours? Please test on the ipad air 2 first, then you will know how strong is the vibration. Common sense that constant vibration for long hours might damage something. In addition, the ipad air 2 is so thin where the spaces between components are limited. My previous post use "might", so it means there are possibilities, not necessary will happen. Personally, I don't want to take the risk by spending RM 2.5k+ (64gb + cellular). If people don't mind, can go ahead. I just share my thought after tested the device. FYI, there is technology in Toshiba laptop to moved the position of the hard disk when vibration is detected (my company have few). Just my 2 cent, if don't like it, just leave it. But calling people paranoid seems more than rude (and provoking with whistle icon). I do expect mutual respect even though we are in the internet. Just an update: Found from the apple forum that a lot users experienced the speaker vibration and the some users claimed that the problem is resolved after exchanged the device. So it was hardware problem. Could have some hope to get one myself. Link 1 Link 2 |

Just get mine from Singapore, 64GB WiFi
Was previously from iPad Air 1. For me iPad Air 2 looks much better than Air 1 It's worth upgrade even you're using Air 1 If you want a nice view of your iPad, don't buy cellular version as it will spoil the back (there's a part will be white instead of whole gold) Attached thumbnail(s) |

Using iPad 2 now, I think it's time for an upgrade. But I do concern about the vibration problem....I guess I'll just try it out myself at shops once they are available.

To those who already have the iPad Air 2, just wanna check, how bad is the screen distortion when lifting the ipad with one hand?

But of course, I'm really hoping that all the vibration and screen distortion issues are limited to the 1st batch and Apple can magically have them fixed for all batches arriving here This post has been edited by Divine_angels: Nov 5 2014, 12:09 AM |

Hi I'm finally able to fully migrate all my files from iPad gen 1 to the new IPad air 2. The speed is phenomenal. I'm speaking for those who have older generation iPads. It is definitely a worthy upgrade. I have so much speed that I can't think of what to do.
It just begs to have true multitasking In terms of the speakers. I guess it is high time Apple made stereo speakers for the iPad. It is louder in the iPad Air 2 and yes it does vibrates but o did my iPad gen 1. Is it significantly more? Slightly. I can't comment on the effects of long term vibrations but so far it does not bother me too much as I use it for reading. What I found weird is that it gets a bit hot during long hours of game play ie infinity blade or aspart 8. But it is hardly noticeable in an air conditioned room. Battery life is as stated I manage to stretch it to 10 hours to near 8% with normal browsing, migrating files, reading. Downloading etc I haven't mange to get a case yet but I will visit low yay soon enough to hunt for cases if there are any in the Malaysian market now.
