Hi,
I'm a noobie driver here. Got my 'P' beginning of this year only.
Driving a Kelisa. Wondering when I get out of my car, I can smell some burning smelll like that. I think it's coming out from the front.
Is it because my the water to cool down the engine not enough?

really noobie here, pls help icon_question.gif

Usually new cars do have such smell. Is your car new?

are you driving a manual? if yes, you might have pressed the clutch pedal too often. if you feel that the clutch pedal becoming stiff, it might be going soon. send to workshop for a checkup.

Check the exhaust under the car, maybe a plastic bag got stuck to the hot exhaust and has melted onto the pipe.

Hmm....I wouldn't say hard.
But then the smell is only when I get out of my car, so could it be the smell of brake pads?

Dude, it's almost impossible to diagnose without actually smelling it ourselves. It could be ANYTHING.

Take it to a mechanic straight away. Don't ask the people here because unless we can smell it (and with your very vague descriptions) there is no way we are going to narrow it down.

I once took my old car (which had four-piston Brembos, Pagid race pads and cross-drilled discs) to a track and liquified the pads completely. There was no smell.

Oh, thanks a lot then.
I guess I have to close this topic.
Perhaps I'll take to a mechanic soon. Kinda busy lately.
Thanks a lot icon_rolleyes.gif
