Has anyone had experience to pre-deposit large amount of fund to your credit card just because you need to use the card beyond the approved credit limit but have sufficient fund in account?

For example:
Approved credit limit: RM 10k
Target transaction amount: RM 50k
Outstanding balance: RM 0
Pre-deposit amount: RM 60k

With the RM 60k paid to the credit card 'in advance', can we use the card now to RM 60k? Can it be done through Maybank2U Credit card payment>enter X amount>pay to the card that you want to use?

With CL of RM10K and outstanding RM0 + pre-deposit of RM60K, technically you can use the card up to RM70K (RM10K +RM60K).
And yes, I have done something similar before.

I'm not sure if you can pay more than your OS amount via M2U to Maybankard. Worth trying and provide feedback after you did.

Yes, i will try and hopefully it works. It's really troublesome if we have to go CDM or branch everytime just for this kinda transaction, think about people in overseas doh.gif

u need to pay seperately..each amount on each card..
cant pay just to one card if you use both card on that month..
yes..u will have RM70k credit limit by doing this..
you cannot bank in the RM60k via M2u.. u need to do it either over the counter or CDM..

The CS told me the same thing too, it's either CDM or over the counter. But i somehow believe that it could be done through M2U since i've simulated the transaction until the review step before clicking 'confirm'.

Tried and failed, error message showed up after clicking confirm. Ok, what about depositing a cheque instead of cash to the card as card payment? Will that work?

Subject to max rm10k per day I transfer thru m2u

Good point to note. Hence, M2U is not workable shakehead.gif

Always charge to the local currency. Dynamic Currency Converter rate is always more expensive.

thanks bro for the reply, so looks like we should be letting amazon earn the forex rate smile.gif

btw, if we have to let maybank to do the conversion, by when they will pull the exchange rate?
*
Not necessarily. I'll tell u my experience, I was once quoted by Western Union with a conversion rate of AUD 1--> MYR 2.98, but in the end I chose to charge my card in foreign currency and allow Maybank to do the conversion, and the rate given by Maybank was 2.94 only. Of course, I can't compare Amazon's rate with Western Union's, so it's up to u to decide whether to explore or not. biggrin.gif As for when will Maybank pull the exchange rate? It depends on when the merchant post your transaction.
