Has anyone had experience to pre-deposit large amount of fund to your credit card just because you need to use the card beyond the approved credit limit but have sufficient fund in account?

For example:
Approved credit limit: RM 10k
Target transaction amount: RM 50k
Outstanding balance: RM 0
Pre-deposit amount: RM 60k

With the RM 60k paid to the credit card 'in advance', can we use the card now to RM 60k? Can it be done through Maybank2U Credit card payment>enter X amount>pay to the card that you want to use?
*
With CL of RM10K and outstanding RM0 + pre-deposit of RM60K, technically you can use the card up to RM70K (RM10K +RM60K).
And yes, I have done something similar before.

I'm not sure if you can pay more than your OS amount via M2U to Maybankard. Worth trying and provide feedback after you did.

Tried and failed, error message showed up after clicking confirm. Ok, what about depositing a cheque instead of cash to the card as card payment? Will that work?
Good point to note. Hence, M2U is not workable shakehead.gif

Will you have access to internet, i.e. when you are overseas (I am assuming you are preparing to go for long term travel)?

If yes, my suggestion is,

1. Request for temporary Credit Limit upgrade to as high as possible
2. From time to time, login to internet banking and start paying what you spent

I did that before when I had to travel for business for 2 months.

Hi, i am not understanding with my statement.. What is minimum balance? Statement balance is my debit amount.. Which amount should i pay?
*
Statement amount = the amount you need to settle in full so that you won't incur interest due to the bank.
Minimum amount = the minimum amount you have to pay for that statement cycle in order not to be blacklisted, this will incur hefty interest due to the bank on all remaining balance unpaid.
Outstanding amount = the total Statement + Unbilled transactions owing to the bank.

Recommendation - always pay Statement Amount before the statement Due date.

Tesco now changed their membership card to touch and go. Reload available using Amex card 2, yay! And also cn be used to make payment at half the counters that allow payment with touch and go.

To save yourself the wait, walk in to the card center, i.e. 1 Utama and get the card within an hour.

OT: like what fruitie said, one does not get charged for receiving sms. it has to be something else.
*
Could it be MMS?
MMS may incur data charges for it to download the rich content while you are abroad.

Nope that two sms is definitely the OTP sms.

There should be a phone number for the SMS in the itemized bill.
