Maybankard 2 American Express Card offers 5x TreatsPoints for all spendings (except Government Bodies, Education Institutions and Insurance Provider), and 5% Weekend cash back.

Is the preceding statement true, if I use the AMEX card on any category of spending (petrol, grocery, departmental store, pharmacy, dining and so on), in any merchant?

As long as any merchant has a AMEX card terminal, I am entitled to the benefits of cashback and 5x TreatsPoints when I swipe the card, right?

Thanks for the confirmation. thumbup.gif

What would be the difference between Maybankard 2 Gold Card, and Maybankard 2 Platinum Card, other than the minimum annual income requirement?

Which card is more preferable, assuming that I can fulfil the minimum annual income requirement for Platinum Card?

Thank you for the advice.

Sign up for Maybank 2 Cards to amplify your life
Just swipe 3X on each card to enjoy RM100 Cashback.

Is this RM100 Cashback separate, on top of the default RM 50 cashback?

I LOVE 100% Cashback Campaign
GET Cashback up to 100% everyday.

What do they mean by 100% cashback? If I charge RM 100 to Maybank 2 cards, Maybank will give me RM 100 as cashback, right?

Is there a minimum amount to be spent? There is no trick, or hidden charges for these 2 promotions, right?

Then give a call to CS for clarification. Or you calculate your end of the Qualifying Period plus 4 to 8 weeks.

Does the end of the qualifying period mean 2 months after the card is activated? Or, the end of the qualifying period is actually 22 March 2015?

But the simplest and fastest method to get the Maybankard 2 Cards is by visiting a Maybankard Centre at 1U, The Gardens or KLCC where your application will be process within an hour or so. Click here to read Gen-X article on it. Please note, it is Maybankard Centre and NOT Maybank Branch.

If you need further clarifications (e.g. what documents to bring along) on the 1 hour approval at 1U Card Centre, you may contact them at number below. Contact Info contributed by Human Nature.

Maybankard Centre at 1 Utama
Lot G-341B, New Wing, 1 Utama Shopping Center, Petaling Jaya, Selangor
03-7728 5451
It is possible to get the application approved, and collect the cards within one hour, at Menara Maybank. rclxms.gif If your salary is credited into a saving account not in Maybank, you should print out the transaction of your saving account, showing your salary has been credited into this account for the past 3 months.

The RM 10 Starbucks Gift card is given as well. smile.gif

Using Maybankard 2 AMEX to Pay for Maxis bill
QUOTE(cyang @ Jun 30 2014, 05:22 PM)

I still able to pay amex through phone through automated system. Does not require the CS call me at all smile.gif

Just register your card through maxis portal (Add credit card, not the maxis pay).

Ok, I understand that I need to key in credit card numbers in Maxis Online Portal, and I believe that this feature is Direct Debit.

1. How can I fix the date of the bill payment (charge to AMEX card), on the first Saturday after the bill is issued by Maxis?

2. Is it possible that the Maxis will automatically charge the payment to my card (on the first Saturday after the bill is issued), without me calling them?

3. If I use phone automated system to pay the bill, what is the minimum amount of information I give to customer support, such as credit card number and so on? I do not want to provide more information than necessary.

Thank you for your advice. smile.gif

Pay via Phone Payment
Settle your Maxis mobile and fixed line bills with a simple phone call. Just set up your account to Pay via Phone by filling in your details below then dial 123 ( everytime you want to make a payment )
Press 1 for access to your billing info
Press 1 to perform bill and payment transaction
Press 3 to make a payment
Note : Your may only choose to set up EITHER the Pay via Phone options OR the Direct Debit option. You cannot subscribe to both.

I try to make payment today (tried 3 times) but failed. Maxis CS told me this method no longer support

Ok, I realize that Maxis Pay-by-Phone may not work anymore, but there is no harm trying, right?

I have inserted the credit card number, in Manage Account --> Edit Account Info --> Change Credit Card No. > Pay method : Pay By Phone > Card Type: Amex.

It also states:

Please remember to fax a photocopy of your OLD and new credit card, with your full name, and account number to 03 2330 0192 for authentication.

So, do I have to fax the image of the front side of my credit card to this number? Can I do it via e-mail?

Yup, renewed my Etiqa mototakaful by calling them on Saturday morning.

So far, my card is still safe and no unauthorized transaction thereafter renewal.

Thanks for sharing the info. rclxms.gif

You provide only 15-digit credit card number for renewal through phone, without the 4-digit Card Identification Number (CID) and 3-digit Card Verification Value (CVV), right?

Even with just 2x TreatPoints for insurance, we can get 5% cashback, if we pay for insurance during weekend, correct?

Thanks, everyone for sharing the great tips in using the card. notworthy.gif

I normally receive my credit card statement via mail.

1. If I subscribe to online statement (PDF file) which is sent to my e-mail, can I have both online statement and hard copy statement (via mail) at the same time?

2. After subscribing to online statement, can I revert back to hard copy statement (via mail)?

Thanks for the info.

I dont think that is one of the payment method. For online method, only visa / mastercard accepted.

I thought that it be possible to pay by phone and change the IEM renewal fee to AMEX, and this pay-by-phone method is not publicly stated in IEM website. Look like I have to settle for measly 1x treatpoint on MasterCard.

For Indah Water bill, I have to use Maybank saving account to pay the bill, and cannot charge it to AMEX online, right? I am not staying near any Indah Water branch.
