Received a letter by poslaju from Fraud Management division regarding my unauthorized transaction detailing the guideline clearly and an enclosed dispute form. The way Maybank has been handling this matter is very exemplary. It makes the process less stressful.

Dear sifus, regarding the treat points, if lets say I bought a RM2500 thing one time using Amex,

1. Means I can get 12500 TP, and hence able to waive the GST?
2. 12500 TP can only waive the GST for Amex card, but not included the Visa? (I am new user) What does it takes to waive GST of both cards (RM100)?
*
you may use the points to redeem the GST offset.

if you would like to redeem for both RM50 + RM50, please refer to the treatpoints catalogue for the amount of points needed.the catalogue is listed at maybank's website.

I just saw this in the website

user posted image

Not sure is misunderstanding or not, but does it means I need 24250 tp t waive 50% of dual card (RM50) for gold card?? I thought is 12500? I thought only 12500 tp as stated by TS?
*
that is for annual fee of other cards

I read thru the first page details, found this...

14. Maybank Platinum credit cards including MBB 2 does not grant free access to KLIA or LCCT Plaza Premium Lounge.

And I got this from the thread in forum (Free access to premium lounge in airport)...which is contradict to the pinned details on the first page here...

"...Amex's American Express Platinum Credit Card - UNLIMITED access to KLIA and LCCT confirmed by yeahh thru PM "
May i know which one is correct?

Is AMEX Plat credit card entitled us to enter KLIA for free?
*
Both are correct, both are different cards.

Looks like treatpoints are immediately given at the end of the period (when statement is out)...

What about cashbacks? Same statement?
Meaning that if I spent 1k on a weekend, the following statement will instantly have the 5% of the 1k in cashback?
*
Treatpoints are given 1-2 days after the transactions.

Cashback will be given on the 1st or 2nd of the month.

From your experience, are the maybank card centers open on a public holiday?

I just recommended my foreign colleague to apply for this card. I was thinking to recommend her Visa Signature or this but after reading Visa Signature, doesn't seem to be that beneficial to her. Both of us will apply for RHB Signature or Alliance credit card after I read it well.

In the end, asked her to apply for Maybankard2Plat. Got the form from KL Sentral branch but we are going to KLCC tomorrow for dinner, not sure if the 1-hour approval still applicable in KLCC? unsure.gif

Another question on the GST, though I understand that it is RM 100 for 2 cards. Is there any way to waive it with minimal swipes? Sorry, I'm totally outdated these days. Appreciate your advice. smile.gif

not sure if the RM100 sign-up promo is still available or not..try check the previous version for its T&C

I suggest you to is initiate a formal inquiry into this matter. A missing application containing all the P&C info is a concern. At the same time, re-submit your application since you need it fast. This time direct submission, not thru any branch, except for maybankard centers.

Already called the center just now. He advice me to apply using their phone and all documents will be sent through fax or email and I can trace the status with same salesperson. He said, supposedly it should take only 3 working days after the submission to be in their system. I didn't think my application would be missing. Maybe the officer at branch is too lazy or didn't send it.  mad.gif  vmad.gif

i should probably type 'missing' rolleyes.gif

just follow the CS advice.

Hi.. thanks for the info. But I'm thinking whether it's worth it to change? I have the gold one now. So if I wanna get the plat I need to apply again right? And then pay the RM100GST. Even if they are able to waive, it's probably just RM50 which I had paid earlier this year.

I wonder if those benefits are good for me to scoop that additional 50.

I don't travel much, about once or twice a year. Shopping yes, but I would need to go through the terms first. Golf wise, I don't play golf.
*
i have been using the card for few years and never use any of the three. One of the way is to upgrade when your next anniversary is near. However, since you will be given a new account number, there is a possibility that you will need to fork out RM100 for GST instead of RM50 for current users.

There's GST waiver for both cards if you apply now until 22nd march 2015. Though you need to swipe 3 times per card, total of 6. So… maybe before end of March 2015? Or now? tongue.gif

Hey, where you got this info? If what you've said is through, I'm gonna go apply now since I use my cards quite often.
*
need to check the T&C whether it is for new users only or applicable to current users too.
