I mean how does cashback work generally?

Say you spend RM100. 5% is RM5. So total is RM95.

Does the system charge RM95 on the CC or from what I read, it says will be put into our CC account at the end of the bill cycle. Does that mean at the end of the bill cycle we'd have RM5 debit?

Charge you RM100, next month debit RM5 to you.

Yes, have to pay first. Once you have enough treat points, you can still redeem it and they will debit RM50 to you.

BTW, have you swipe 3x on each card to get the RM100 rebate?

1. Just received my first m2c platinum over postage. I saw in maybank2u, I have option to activate for both card. What if I just activate the amex one? and leave the other unactivated? Possible or not?

2. My first time also will be paying petrol using cc. Saw in another amex thread, at BHP semenyih need to pay at counter. So, the counter guy will swipe first and give me back the card and filling in.. OR filling in first and after that swipe at counter?

1. Not possible. Even you didn't activate it, you will still need to pay for the other GST. Still it is the same. If that is allowable, all of us would have dumped the other card long time ago.

1. Possible or not, you will still be charged GST for each card. My advice is activate and swipe 3x on each card to get RM100 rebate.

2. If that station only accept Amex over the counter, tell the counter staff you want to pump full tank, then go fill up and after that swipe at counter. My advice is DO NOT leave your credit card at the counter while you are filling up.

i think it is possible not to activate but GST surely will charge..
at least not activate could prevent fraud
