Aisha is not going to give you very consistent crits so you might have to depend on luck and gem. If lucky enough with another zebra friend it is possible... but most probably have to gem.

you are taking on Lance? same comment applies. You still need to depend on luck a little as Aisha crit buff is not as potent as Duel.

If you take michelle friend you might not have enough damage to 1hit Lance. With that team, if you fail 1 hit kill you are going to gem.
