This tournament are totally under the radar. If not for the latest news at Mygozone, I bet almost everyone will not know about it.

So far the event details are very2 vague and the details at the official website doesn't help much. Words on the street that this event were ignited by e-clubmalaysia which kinda explained why there's a lot of Valve's game there.

Official games
Counter Strike
Guild Wars
Day of Defeat
Super Dancer Online
Proton Rally
Battlefield 2

Another thing that confused me is the Preliminary participants part :-

I hope everything will come into the light soon. The next event they going to held were as below :

Date: September 17th, 2006
Time : 11:00am ~ 04:00pm
Venue: Cititel Mid Valley Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

Hehehhe...for racing head that wondering what the fish is Proton Rally, it's actually Half Life 1 Rally mod with Proton cars in it.
The HL1 Rally mod itself is free but you need Half Life 1 before you can play it. The Proton cars? Need to ask e-club about it laugh.gif

Looks like this event is all about war games. brows.gif

errr how about this:
"Preliminaries

"

to join must be sponsored? what da toot!

Ya lah...that's the thing. If team game understandable but how about individual games? Cybercafe must do qualifiers loh, because this rules can be "used" easily. Tournament should be meant for public, not certain organisation.

MYGOZONE: Many of the gamers are confused over the "cyber cafe sponsorship" ruling. Just what is the relationship between the gamers/teams and cyber cafes and how will that work out?

Frankie: Basically how the "cyber cafe sponsorship" works is, the cyber cafe registers itself for ACG, and they'll need to find the gamers to represent them. The gamers that are intrested, will then have to work out their own deal with the respective cafe in the event that any prize money is won. Alternatively, the cyber cafes could conduct their own internal tournament, ensuring that the best gamer/team in their area would be representing them for ACG.

Wah lau...it will be hard for participants then...
Ok now, which CC want to offer a place for Proton Rally? I want to try out laugh.gif notworthy.gif

Went to the ACG pre-launch at Citetel Mid Valley today, nothing much happening except for the Guild Wars pVp mini-competition.

There's no Proton Rally playable demo available at the event just now but according to Mr. Frankie, E-Club's Director of Marketing (wow, very nice fellow rclxms.gif ) it will be available in cybercafe's under E-Club's Vavle program in around 2 months time.

Checkout (and laugh if you want) the trailer here --> http://www.asiancybergames.com/trailer.html

The current mini tournaments that are going around at the cyber cafes are for promoting purposes. To create more awareness regarding ACG and also the games. If you want to get more info on the mini tournaments listed, you can find more at the asiancybergames.com website. If you want more info on the Guild Wars side of things, you can also check at guildwars.e-clubmalaysia.org website. Any questions you can do so at the forums of those particular websites.

The next mini tourney will be at FTZ cyber cafe at SS15 this Sunday. There will be a mini random 4vs4 tournament for Guild Wars (vets and newbies alike can join) and also a 6vs6 DoD tournament.

Awesome explanation! rclxms.gif
From my observation, there's more GW activities for ACG currently. Since you are more familiar with 'em, how about updating us the clueless here? notworthy.gif

Holy crap! Congrats on the bumping this thread... rclxms.gif
Well, ACG are pretty disorganized I guess.

At least, there's a number of CS1.6 bearing ACG keep on coming recently.
