It’s recently been announced that a Dota 2 competition with a base prize pool of $40,000 USD will be hosted in Singapore at the end of the year with qualifiers running from now until the main event in December 2014. This will be the biggest prize pool in the region ever and we are all excited about it!

If you look at the website there are various crowdfunding methods which can be used to increase the already huge prize pool. Out of these, FreeKnot is a startup aimed at developing the eSports scene.

FreeKnot primarily sells male apparel which includes tees, shirts as well as pants. By purchasing apparel from FreeKnot you contribute directly to the prize pool of the competition. 25% of all sales from now until the 28th of December will be going into the prize pool.

As much as we would love to see e-Sports become bigger in SEA, we believe that the community would like to see that too. FreeKnot is our way of making this a reality, one step at a time. It will not end here at this competition. If all goes well for us, we will be getting involved in other e-Sports projects. To name a few we could organize our own brand of tournaments in SEA, possibly sponsor our very own professional team (not limited to DOTA 2) and also develop our artistry and design gaming inspired clothing since that is our primary business.
