I have recently joined the ranks of ausfags, and of course i've brought my shit heavy camera here, which every says is somekind of bazooka.
Like usual i didn't edit the photos, i'm just too inept for that, but i did use Paint.net for resizing (Supersampling) and it should have less detail loss compared to my older photos. I still think MSPAINT rocks. Mind the spots on the pics, i sneezed on the lense and wasn't really bothered to clean all the snot off it. Dem i really mistreat my gear lol. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() edited to do the lady's hair more justice. Wondering why she had painted whiskers on lol. ![]() Note : Best Bench i ever slept on. Was too cheap to get a hotel after i landed in Brisbane and since all the cheap places in Roma Street were full, so it was natural i used it. In front of police station somemore leh. Most of the shots aren't that good because i took them inpromptu, the 70-200 is too heavy to use walkaround style and its focal length is too long, plus its backfocusing so AF isn't accurate anymore until i send it for repair in Brisbane.. Waiting for my Zeiss and mount converter. This post has been edited by empire23: Mar 16 2008, 08:57 AM |

i love the lady pic.. really good bokeh and have that aussie feel.
sad to hear the 70-200mm f2.8L IS backfocusing issue.. btw, u need to do more justice to your 5d and get the 65mm instead. better coverage for the awesome landscapes there. |

QUOTE(Ickythump @ Mar 16 2008, 10:39 PM) Camera that cost almost 10K i dont expect that the picture is nice enough...but too bad only some pic are nice enough (just my though) SLRs are meant to give you shit pictures until you edit them lol that's the awesome part about shooting RAW (exposure compensationnnnn).Too bad i'm too f***ing lazy unless it involves women or lolis. Example being the sunset photo could use a bit of dodge and burn, luminosity change, and rape. Generally, put less emphasis on everything else aside from sunset and the clouds. Before ![]() After ![]() Anyways good camera doesn't mean great shots, if your camera man sucks like me, you're bound to get shit pictures, because SLRs are inherently manual cameras and rely on skill rather than Auto's pot luck of normal cameras. |

QUOTE(168257061 @ Mar 16 2008, 11:37 PM) lol PnS i'm not sure but SLR, surely. As you go higher up the ladder, you'll find that the pictures actually suck more at stock (yeah, you pay more for crap stock photos), pro SLRs generally assume that the camera man will sit down and edit his pics so they dispense with noise reduction, sharpening and processing. Now i'll have to find a torx to adjust the body due to focus issues Added on April 6, 2008, 4:48 pmPoasting more. Edited this time. Will add pics of the Malaysian Embassy Party in Toowoomba later on (NOTE : IT IS NOT A REAL EMBASSY) Pictures of the Engineering Block ![]() ![]() Toowoomba CBD ![]() Two sets of Schoolgirl pictures, one heavily cropped and another less due to the fact of the girl in back's really ugly look. Was using the tele extender for the first time, so the shots aren't as good as i usually want. ![]() ![]() Japanese Garden ![]() Abit screwey due to me messing with the settings, ugly, but decent. ![]() ![]() ![]() Uniplaza Crt Fish n Chips ![]() This post has been edited by empire23: Apr 6 2008, 04:48 PM |

QUOTE(empire23 @ Mar 17 2008, 12:03 AM) I like this 2 pictures. First the Duck, I like it because of the colours on the ducks feather is reflecting on the same colour of the water. Then the picture with the title "Uniplaza Crt Fish n Chips", I like the effect of the picture, around corner are dark and blur... While the concentration is more towards to the boy and the refrigerator. *Bright* This are juz my opinion, correct me if I'm wrong... |

QUOTE(MayAnne @ Apr 7 2008, 08:48 PM) I love this pic. The water is a perfect blue and the ripples are nicely formed. And ducky is like emerging like a submarine out of the water. Nice... yes really nice pic indeed (just posting this for the sake of not being off-topic)Now, how about some penguins? now that she posted in ur thread, u can tell that she fell in love with the "penguin" i drew her. reference |

Poasting Sunshine Coast pics, finally cleaned out the sensor of my 5D and i kind of got Sand into my Cam. Had a great deal of fun with members of the MTS (Malaysian Toowoomba Society ; impromptu name), all of us on holiday except for a few guys there doing their doctorates, but they still came anyway (skip research bad Mior....Dr Talal know then you habis)
Yesh, we're a pseudo malaysian society with only 50 percent malaysians, rest from India, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia and even the USA, because we figured out that all these countries are pretty close to Malaysia, thus it's ok. But heck these guys are more fun than a barrel of monkeys. Will post pictures of Ostalia Zoo in my next post. Time to work on eng design work and my energy audit for now None of me inside, because no one else is qualified to operate dee-ess-elle-are technology. Can you believe you actually need a degree to operate these things? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

QUOTE(zx7177 @ Apr 12 2008, 12:06 AM) Just did the curves for a darker outline because contrast change would ruin the already inherent color of the sunset. Also added the customary +2 Sharpen that is recommended for Canon Full Frames due to the AA filter. The sunshine coast and it's autumn sun has a glow like no other and as the sun fades you can see a tingle of orange across the horizon. Breathtaking if you ask me. Added on April 13, 2008, 1:05 amMore pictures from the land of ostalia. Some of the pictures was taken before i cleaned my sensor , but here's a new slew of pics showcasing the land of ostalia. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by empire23: May 9 2008, 10:10 AM |

Sold to Sponsor other lenses since knowing my father he'll never get things done until someone starts cursing. when will your father send out your 16-35mm f2.8L? would love to see more coverage with it.. get yourself photostich pro software and extend the wide angle provided u have the 190x prob already. Plan to get the 14mm Superfisheye as a replacement as i keep gravitating towards primes. Tripod goes out, but not much due to the problem of carrying it rather than the weight as i need both my hands for most actions. Will get a tripod bag later on, but see how lah. |
