Can we make the mobile/contact no a required feature? I see that there are a lot of forumers who don want to supply their details there. At least have a contact no....

Mobile number? What if the person supplies a fake number? Or simply an unregistered prepaid number?

Would u volunteer to call everyone up when they register with your own phone to confirm it's their number?

Besides, even with info like bank account number and name, ppl still get conned over and over again by the same ppl
No one bothers to do a search before trading, how would the phone number help?

Even after confirmed with their number, they could always dispose that number after getting the money.

Yup yup, prepaid packs are so cheap nowadays, anyone can afford to throw their number and get a new one

This phone number thing is not a new suggestion too btw
We probably need a thread with all the suggestions and reasons they're rejected so ppl can refer to them...

IINM, you have a month before you are required to register, so con away during that time.

Plus, the fact that he DID get conned before would suggest that he does know what its like to be conned and thus be able to give you opinions based on first hand experience.

Anyway, who is going to be the one to verify all this? We certainly don't have the manpower to do it. Will you?

Well yes i have been conned before, more than once in face
As H@H@ mentioned above that's 1 of the reasons why i've not been a victim for a very long time and also know what would work and what wouldnt

If i had a suggestion, i would have let the others know earlier on
I'm pointing out why yours wont work, not showing off that i'm smarter or anything

well, i see u r a lelong member too. just re: case sxxhobby, & u know cheaters & scammers can exploit any loopholes on a ID verification system. i believe most victims of fraud actually end up wiser after the experience.

you seem to forget LYN has no responsibility towards you, me or any other trader doing sales on the forums.

the fact that the admin are even layaning this little discussion is already more than they are obligated to do.

in the end, the responsibility lies with you to be smarter than the conmen, or if you are actually willing to put in some effort on your end to implement your smart ideas.

remember, it always easy to talk and make suggestions, but its a different story if you are responsible for implementing those suggestions.

yes, it is unfortunate that some how people seem to think that Trade Enforcers are fraud hunters that work 24/7 on LYN.

its quite sad, actually.

half the idiots who post up threads like these are longtime members. its simply more proof that they dont bother reading pined threads, nor do they bother checking the announcements and R&R pages every now and then.

pandai spam saja, and then one day decide to try and be smart and suggest all sorts of bullshit ways to supposedly help improve the forum. then when asked to actually take charge of something, all instant stfu and stop posting in the thread they started.

I think we've established that collecting handphone numbers isn't a effective method.
