if it was me, i'll backup EFS > wipe everything > format everything > make sure until the no os installed appear > install fresh cm11s 33R rom > update to 38R > install twrp > root > enjoice

and do EFS backup 1st since one of us did lost all his modem info upon updating. search EFS down the search function there.

nope. for android, if you are rooted, your are exposed. the only way to avoid is not to simply hand your handphone to anyone

u turn off location manually? it silently turn it on back 

should I request new unit? What I like is that this unit so far no screen issues..    scared new unit will have.
