Hi
After doing the fix for the bootloop on Tuesday, I noticed my phone had a bit of a problem with the mobile data, patchy connection, battery drain increased a bit and I lost my heads up notification.
Any remedy can you suggest? Thanks
you need to understand this:
1st. your mobile signal is determined by your telco tower nearby your location.
2nd. your phone modem bin determines how your phone will react to the signal given by the telco tower. this includes whether the phone can read and lock into certain network type.
example. 2 OPO, 1 with stock modem, another with m11's modem. both on Maxis with LTE enabled. put both phones besides each other. some of the things that can happen:
1st scenario:
OPO A with stock modem: getting LTE with 2 bars
OPO B with m11's modem: getting LTE with 4 bars
2nd scenario:
OPO A with stock modem: getting H+ with 4 bars
OPO B with m11's modem: getting LTE with 2 bars
this is where the modem bin plays its role. to read the signal the phone is receiving and determining the network type the phone is best suited at one point of time.
3rd. battery drain due to weak signal
when the phone is receiving weak signal (maybe due to no near tower or it is placed in a building/room with thick wall and it made the tower signal weak), the phone modem will then try to get the best network type for the phone and will try to lock on one network type. when this happens, you will see that the phone keeps jumping from Edge to 3G to H+ to LTE.
when this happens. the phone battery will drain.
