QUOTE(evanrue @ Oct 13 2014, 06:58 PM) hi, im not rooted though.. i tried manual sideload 38r using stock recovery, same error.. i thought velvet.apk has somehting to do with google play store app.. but i've never manual update google play.. Save your data and download the whole rom by Calkulin under Xda. Do a clean wipe then install.is there any way for me to update to 38r without using custom recovery? for me to install a custom recovery, i must root my OPO right? means lose all data? |

QUOTE(bearbearhong @ Oct 17 2014, 12:29 PM) got mine from directd, i asked for 2nd unit to check on the spot, same little yellow tint on bottom of screen. If u know them can open all their boxes because it's already opened. My previous unit from Satu Gadget I opened 6 boxes, found 2 no yellow tint.now after 1 months+ of usage, it is not so noticeable, somehow i find it "fading" away This post has been edited by DannyOP: Oct 17 2014, 12:38 PM |

QUOTE(BenSow @ Oct 18 2014, 11:32 PM) Depends on yr usage, how often do u use earphones? I almost never use earphones unless travelling long trips. So a rm50 Xiaomi is more than enough. When im at home I prefer proper home theatre system for movies and dedicated stereo system for music. Somehow I don't like earphones so near my ears. |

Trying out Vanir rom, so far so good. Network signal also I feel is better than CM11s and overall smoother than CM11s, battery performance remains to be seen.

QUOTE(acbc @ Oct 21 2014, 09:17 AM) International set have full LTE bands for US and other countries. China set no LTE bands for US so will work as 3G or 2G only. If u don't travel to US, no worries. Is this software enabled or hardware? Can anyone confirm if the lte bands is due to the colorOS rom or is an actual hardware addition? |

QUOTE(noorimanyosh @ Oct 22 2014, 10:00 AM) Yeah I'm still in the discovering process..BTW how to turn off onscreen navigation button? Then u shouldn't need to ask any more spoonfeeding questions like how to turn off onscreen buttons. It already covers a lot of info and the answer is in the phone itself. Read 1st page again and not only read but understand, comprehend and apply it. The fact that u read it months ago but still need to ask how to off onscreen buttons means u never even applied.Yeah I did read it months ago so no need to tell me to read it again He he..already sold my 1520 and trying android.. QUOTE(akira87 @ Oct 22 2014, 07:47 PM) Read somewhere in this forum that we might lose various system file which contains data of the radio/phone ID etc, which make our phone as an expensive paper weight. May i know in what situation we might lose those data? Find out the post and show us the link. If u can't then its just rumors. Phone won't go bonkers by itself unless it's being possessed by a ghost. Whenever u read something find out if there is any evidence or proof. Otherwise if u believe everything u read in the internet then will be very paranoid. This post has been edited by DannyOP: Oct 22 2014, 08:48 PM |

QUOTE(Haters_Gonna_H8 @ Oct 22 2014, 08:55 PM) Chyan experienced it before. i am not too sure how it happenned. better ask him. Normal usage something like this won't happen lah, unless during installation of new rom you do a full format. If u r the type that just use stock rom and don't change any settings the phone won't delete user data by itself. This is more of a user backside itchy problem and not any particular phone problem.but i did read somewhere in xda or oneplus.net forum some other people experiencing the same issue. but cant really pinpoint what actually triggerred it. QUOTE(akira87 @ Oct 22 2014, 09:56 PM) Yes, it happened before and i know it will only happened if someone messing it around with the data. Did i said that it happen by itself? Thats why im asking in what situation it could happened. Yes, by default your statement did say that because it is not conditional unlike your reply lol. If u mention about rooting then it's a totally different scenario.Im starting to learn on rooting and flashing thats why im asking. To be prepared. Dont just call me paranoid. Maybe the way im phrasing my Q makes you misunderstood my Q Btw I just managed to hit 8hr sot for the first time and it's not using Cynogenmod cm11s, this time it's a combo of Vanir rom and Franco r27. QUOTE(LuffyPSP @ Oct 23 2014, 03:24 AM) I dunno lol~ It sleeepps way better than stock, I can undervolt with his own built app(which is awesomely supported). For OPO also can tweak colour calibration with trickster mod and Franco. No nonsense features, minimal kernel, straigthforward developer. and for Nexus, we can tweak the color calibration Btw I found that if u change boot animation to other themes like Android L it won't lag anymore at least on the Vanir rom and Franco r27 and 28. Not sure if it's the same for cm11s. |
