It's been half year I'm using GT70 2PC. Still no problem so far
Just upgraded the hard drive to Samsung EVO 840, man.. I Swear, I will never go back to Rotating Hard Disk Usage: - Gaming, 4 to 5 hours continuously and over the weekend, the whole day playing - When Working: Using VMWare Workstations for testing some apps and networking stuff. Installed OS: Windows 7, Windows Server with SQL server installed, ESXi 5, pfSense and etc I hope I'm not torturing my laptop so much |

QUOTE(EdenHazard17 @ Nov 23 2014, 01:22 AM) Around rm5xx 250gb (OS, apps and some games that load quite heavy are installed here), I think it's enough as the original 1tb hard disk installed on another drive bay, all the junk files i dump it there |

QUOTE(saru04 @ Nov 23 2014, 08:14 PM) If you read the review, 850 Pro is better bro and more lifespan, go for it. But if you tight on budget, 840 Evo is already good enough. I have no more budget as I already spent too much on this laptop hahaha QUOTE(EdenHazard17 @ Nov 23 2014, 08:28 PM) Haha. Mine for now only 128gb. Quite small so I installed all the games at the HDD. Planning to upgrade to 256gb SSD too. So yours now is 2 ssd raid 0? No bro, only 1 ssd and 1 hdd. I'm planning to Raid it but maybe in the future. I upgraded it at one of the authorize reseller, they just install the ssd (but must keep the receipt to prove that this laptop has been opened by them) and the rest I do it myself. Installing windows and everything.Edited: One more thing, where did u upgrade bro? Owh..and i deleted the hidden partition to save the space |

QUOTE(saru04 @ Nov 24 2014, 02:31 PM) I see. Bro can you also help me out. Bro, check with CPU-Z and go to SPD tab, choose the slot. At the bottom you will see how much voltage for the ram. My GT70 is 1.35V. I'm not sure what's yours. What RAM is MSI GP60 2PE using? Is it low voltage or normal voltage? And also how many RAM slots does it have? |

QUOTE(saru04 @ Nov 25 2014, 01:11 PM) I checked online they state is DDR3L and I asked some other sellers they told me is low voltage. Some website states that its DDR3 SO-DIMM. I think its better to bring your laptop to authorize reseller/service centre bro, they will know what to do. Just wanted to confirm here if its really low voltage. Wouldn't want to waste money buying the wrong RAM. Since your laptop is still under warranty, it is better to let them open it |

QUOTE(saru04 @ Nov 25 2014, 03:51 PM) Its such a hassle to go back and forth from my place to the shop. I think its low voltage bro, I also planning to upgrade mine and found out below is my specI thought of getting the RAM and SSD from another seller and go to official retailer to get them to help install it. So can cut down on travelling time. DDR3L 1600MHz PC3L-12800 204 pin Non-ECC CL11 1.35V Unbuffered SODIMM. Yours should be Low voltage as well. QUOTE(naminakata87 @ Dec 2 2014, 03:15 AM) Try to uninstall it, and install back with the latest version if your version is old.QUOTE(oldlady94 @ Dec 2 2014, 02:36 PM) my msi ge60 2pl taking some time start up.. i already have disable many app that taking so much time to start up...any idea ? i think my msi a little bit slow but only a couple of month i have it.. It happened to me as well, after 2 months i can feel my laptop startup was getting slower and slower and that's why I upgraded to SSD. Its not just MSI, other laptop as well. |
