Anyone knows if the new gs65/75 with rtx 20xx are now available in stores? Last time i went in the 1st week of this month none of the outlets in lowyat/bb plaza had them.

Wow, this is very old stuff, maybe around price not exceeding RM600? considering the age, and such an outdated model and 2nd hand value.

Thanks for replying , yeah i was quite surprised to hear about that price.
I posted it in a facebook group and didn't believe the value is so low considering i bought it at like RM2.9K before smile.gif
Must be right tho, think i'll try bargaining for RM800 first .

Yikes laptops do drop prices fast huh :FeelsBadMan;

These kind of gadget do not have much 2nd hand value, like phones , unless you sell it on the 1st week you bought.

if it's still have warranty period left you could still bargain with buyer but your is much older therefor even you sold to second hand shop
they will try negotiate with you to buy it cheaper.

hmm... just a suggestion
maybe could consider to keep as spare or give to your kid/relative kid ? since now a day school will request parent to get a basic laptop for their
child for project or school, getting a basic laptop also will cost 1k plus might as well reuse it

should say electronic gadget price drop very fast cry.gif
heartache if you always visit gadget store watching the model you use price drop and getting eol bye.gif

The second hand laptop market here in Singapore is also pretty weak. Just recently, I sold my 2 years+ old GP62-6QF laptop for about S$450. I bought this unit for about RM45XX back in December ‘16.

I could have aimed for a higher price in Carousel, but nah. I’ll take what is offered.

Yeah, second hand gadgets don't have much resale value in general.
Unless its a hot graphic card with great power to performance ratio.
BitCoin miners usually would be willing to invest in those; so they hold their value better than other components.

I have a question. I have a glass of plain water. My kid brother accidentally push it and spill onto my 6 month old laptop when he was reaching for phone charger. It now won't start after it shutdown. Am I screwed? Will warranty cover this? To be honest there wasn't that much of water. 8 tried drying it for 3 days already no different.

I think you'd be lucky if you managed to sell it for more than 600. My bro's company always sell their thinkpad laptop for about 1/5 price every 2 years....

If for me, really have to see the condition first.. but looking at the spec... I think the most I can give is RM500

I sold my 2010 MBP (in good condition) for RM 1600 , could have asked more. But it's a mac and it's taken good care of (i've boosted to 256GB SSD , 8GB RAM + casing)

But I guess you can get rid for it for RM 600 or so...again you'll have to lower your expectations

there's no second hand value for laptops actually, because things are getting advance and advance. they keep update new technology nowadays. If the price its ok, jsut let it go hahaha.

Quite low, even with good keeping condition, the machine cannot sell even 50% of original price. Strongly recommend you can directly buy a new one which have new warranty too.

I finally took it to SC. Received a call today. MSI does not provide accidental spill warranty. They said cost repair is maybe 3k on a 6k laptop. I known other brands like dell/hp has accidental protection maybe even Acer. But Highpoint who does MSI and Acer SC told me no warranty. I am screwed.
