I'd say choose university of melbourne or unsw
University of Melbourne will be adopting the American university system in 2008, so that's another factor to consider when studying in Melbourne.
This meaning if I still remember, is that your first two years at University. You'll be taking basic fundamental subjects, then in the 3rd year, students
will be able to get into the majors. 4th year they can choose to either take up honors or take industry training. This gives student the option to decide
in their 2nd/3rd year what they really want to specialize, rather than choose right after coming out of high school.
Also this makes it easier for students that wish to take up masters in the U.S. if they wish to have a change of environment.
I think you can find out more about the Melbourne model on their website.
