hmhmh.....nth difficult wat....visa u can get idp 2 get it done 4 u....juz need ur body check-up dats all....erm....accomo is a thing to think about....erm....depends if u wanna enjoy the feeling of campus life or not, balancing the higher costs of living in hostel n the cheaper rates when u share a house with yer frens...

anything else u guys wanna noe bout living in aussie, plz feel freee 2 ask la... oh yea...students workin is normal la...whu dun like extra cash...n since the pay here is way better than msia...y not??....n visa is simple stuff....apply online like how u purchase stuffs off ebay (coz u need 2 pay by creditcard...& dun worry they got all ur details in their database)...or fill in a form,get it stamped by uni, make an appointment with the immi office n be there 5 mins b4 time....no need 2 experience the bloody waits like how we all did for our mykad....

yea....juz as wat chris_c28 said...the funny thing is....d tax here is bout 40%...so u would only geta small sum in ur paycheck but we can get a tax return or sth like dat....so thats why we need the tax file number...

visa u juz apply online...usually idp will giude u thru that...simple as abc....oh yea...better get urself vaccinated 1st....with watever la...coz it wud b a pain in the back to fell sick overseas....esp if u get a terrible cold.....get yerslf a flu jab....erm..n make sure uve seen ur dentist b4 u go,....make sure u wont hav any dental probs thruout ur stay there...dental fees r exp even if u look at the figures alone...if u convert lagi teruk...

me in clayton ...caulifield usually for business ppl or postgrad...main campus is in clayton...erm....parkville is for pharma....gippsland is rural campus....berwick ar..seems 2 be quite small campus...dunno what they got there.....erm....i got fren in peninsular studying business oso....

yeapz agreed...when u r more settled....u will usually use 3g (the company name is like dat.....dun ask me y)....coz it has the best deal for money....however the service quite sucky compared 2 other service provider...ie...credit balance checking, "prompt-ness" of its sms / voicemail is very doubtful.....

erm.....bank account ar...use the daily account....diferent bank got different names 4 dat...my advice....use comm bank.....best!!!....most ATM around....very common....the australian post office is their authorized service partner oso...which means u can oso deal ur stuffs in post office...if u use comm bank...for tertiary students,....banking is free...no fees.....juz need 2 prove to them u r a student every year n dats it!!

hahaha the banana thing...aussies like banana....but after kena cyclone...whole country no banana...now after the prodcution line ok already....the price now is back 2 normal which is 2-3aud....he most expensive ive seen is 19.90aud per kilo...

talk about free economy...i call it dumb economy...1 pack of cheese 500g cost $2.....1 pack of same cheese 1kg version costs $6........the ppl here din study economics....

yea i agree...comm bank trumps ANZ....summore if wanna compare savings account....comm bank's netbank saver much better rate then ANZ.....commbank ultimate ATM la...even the post office can become ATM for commbank.....how much better can it get?? unless u wanna go NZ, fiji etc...i think there got more ANZ....

last time i go open account i use student id n passport only leh....kaotim...i know got point system....but i dunno how it owrks....check the website lor 2 make sure...commbank.com.au

n bout what 2 bring....bring more stuff like things to remind u bout family la....or gifts from frens....others all can buy over here.....even ur biskut cap pingpong can buy here...dun bring food la....coz they customs usually dun let most things in....toiletry all bring juz enuff till u get settled lor....coz those stuff over here not that exp.....quite okay...

yeapz....the overall one they dun really emphasize on the feeling of international students...like the international orientation 4 our uni....the international student services organize trips 4 them 2 get around, know the place, get 2 know where 2 get ur asian food etc......n get 2 know ppl....
