I'm kinda lost here.. basically I'm offered to further my studies in UniSA and UniTas for Bachelor in Architecture. Both uni's offer me an advanced standing of one year from my local degree i got from some unknown college.. but I'm kinda confused.. what's the difference between these two uni's in terms of the way they teach and their teaching philosophy as well as other stuffs too..

Do enlighten me with ur experiences before making my decision for next Feb's intake..

BTW, I've read from the beginning of this thread and got lost somewhere in the middle.. laugh.gif

Go for UTAS. They are famous for their architecture course. BTW, anyone from Adelaide or going to Bradford College??

It is located in Rosepark. From wht i read in the website, it is 1 Km away from the city. So i guess it is quite near to UniSa. Are you a new students or had been in Adelaide for a number of years??

Got Chemical Engineering, got in touch with them again and asked for Petroleum Engineering, so confirm doing Petroleum Engineering at Adelaide University.
1.5 GB i die la, sure can't download with 1.5 Gb probably enough for ' research surfing' sadly .....
What sicken me is that in certain hostel they have an agreement with 'certain' ISP, that could ripped your heart out. Anyway the most shocking check this out http://www.unitrans.com.au/i_fees.html, $250 for 3 GB and not even broadband speed! of course it was back in 2006 but still ........
Anyway i will do with 20 GB max. Oh man hope i can make it alive in 6 months there find few friends to moved in then subscribe to a leeching plan, especially TPG plan http://bc.whirlpool.net.au/isp.cfm/TPG-Int...-5.html?p=14195 , just hoping the connection is fine and done break, if break then waste my GB for sure. Anyway can't wait to go Adelaide, i heard alot of good stuff there when the representatives from the uni came here to give a pre-departure briefing last wednesday. But no. 1 priority now is find accomodation, worst come to worst i find my place when i arrived.  pyroboy1911 why go so late end Feb, when your orientation ?
*
Yup. 1.5Gb is not sufficient for me too. I think i gonna go for something like 4 GB at least. BTW, when is your orientation and when will you be going?? Taking Malaysia Airlines?? Possible to meet up??

my hostel just emailed me said that my room got internet, and she said its unlimited internet, and she said its broadband =.= dunno why. she said i need RJ45 cable O.o any idea what is that.?
*
Rj45 is the jack. It is the normal cable we use in the house. You can go to any computer shop and ask them to make 1 RJ45 Straight Cable for you. I think 2 M should be sufficient.

Course webpages, past students, uni bookshop textlist.
Sometimes it's not a good idea to buy them too early. In some of my courses, the lecturer will tell us that the textbook is not compulsory, which usually means you don't need it (and it won't be used). The lecturer may also change the textbook from that used in the previous session.
You can also purchase 2nd hand textbooks.
