Anyone know how good UniMelb's Architecture course is? Or anyone who took or is taking that course currently? Planning to do 3 years in taylors and 2 years in unimelb if feedback is good

limeuu, are you perfectly sure about that?
I thought it was like part 1 3 years in taylors. Then i do 2 years in unimelb for my part 2 (if i achieve minimum grades) Well if this is the case then this pathway is certainly not the shortest =( i should look into other cols/unis and their pathways then... |

Back to the Go8 universities discussion, how do their fees differ from the other unis? Also, what is the ratio of international students there?

Alrighty thanks limeuu and chris. Heh. So i'll just take the more affordable option if there isn't a significant difference between the go8 unis.

I posted this in the architecture thread but i want to ask the oz students too, you guys might be more familiar with it
QUOTE I'm thinking really deeply into this. My parents say they could send me for the Taylors-Melbourne pathway but it would be a hell of a burden for them. 400k in total, after calculations. My understanding is this : 3 years Diploma in taylors college pj 1 year Degree in Environmental Science (equivalent to part I) 2 years Masters in Architecture (equivalent to part II) My question is, will i be able to work part time while studying in Melb? To sort of lighten my parents burden or if possible nullify the living expenses? Is taking the degree/masters in melbourne uni going to be real time consuming and exhausting? Or would i be able to squeeze some time for part time jobs? I wouldn't mind being a draughtsperson or whatever, just wanna earn some money and if possible get some working experience in the process. I'm hoping the course isn't very taxing, so i can work a little. If anyone could answer my question, it'd be very much appreciated. |
