hi guys, averange.. how much km should i change minyak hitam, minyak gearbox, belting, for Ego LC scooter? thanks bros..

minyak hitam change every 5,000km. 0.8L = RM 20. easy to do youtself

make sure you use scooter engine oil

the final gear oil, u need 2 x 100ml bottle. 1 bottle is rm 6 - 7. sendiri tukar. very easy.

the CVT belt after 30 or 50,000 km lah. around rm 200+ inclusive of labor

all quoted price is for original yamaha oil and belting

it's so cheap, makes no sense to go for 3rd party or no name nonsense.

i can't remember. maybe 10,000km.

for LC, u will also need to change the coolant every 2 yrs. and air filter. and spark plug.

spark plug is cheap. rm 15 cn get you a good one. air filter, rm 25 for original. rm 15 for oem.

i see.. right now, i took care my wife ego lc.. so need to record every maintenance lol.. mileage right now near 95000.. already around 2 years..

maybe its time to change coolant, air filter n spark plug.. how much for the coolant ya?

so i dug out my LC125 manual:

1. engine oil change every 4,000km [0.80L, YAMALUBE SAE20W-40]
2. final transmission oil change every 12,000km [0.23L use YAMALUBE SAE 10W-40]
3. v-belt change every 24,000km
4. coolant change every 3 years
5. air filter replace every 16,000km
6. spark plug replace every 10,000km [NGK/CR7E]


engine oil, pakai itu red one. made in siam. if made in msia, is gold bottle. more ekspensip.

this is very helpfull.. thanks bro.. yes i already change the engine oil last saturday n use the red one yamalube..

so my vbelt still can use.. coolant maybe early next year..

you might one want to change the final transmission oil. it's cheap to change and you can do it in less than 10 mins with minimal tools.

air filter change really need a lot of time cos you'll have to open so many plastic cowlings.

may i know how you dispose the "old oil"?

in the drain or dig a hole in the ground and dump it inside

not that cruel la, i send it to the car workshop nearby (3 mins walking distance) and ask them if i can dump my oil into their large oil drum. they are ok with it.

ya bro.. after this will change all lumpsum with spark plug etc.

n btw.. how much the optimum tyre pressure for thi ego

ego LC has bigger final drive oil capacity.
