QUOTE(chokia @ Oct 8 2014, 06:03 PM) QUOTE(Boy96 @ Oct 8 2014, 06:06 PM) About the aircon...firstly, the design is for Euro countries...everything about the aircon...even the controllers.Since it is computer controlled, no need to off it before you shutdown the engine....this is the killer point...when you do start the engine next morning...500ml of condensed water will come out in an instant. So there are lotsa water being trapped in the tubes. Then, there is the default air circulation, which is "outside air in"....in Euro probably the cleaner than our Dusty climate, this will clogged the filters and sooner or later...dust will go to the cooling coils. And as everyone knows, our Pugs with the Turbo is going at high temperature in the engine bay....even the manifold will be red hot after a sprint...the time the fan spills to cool down the engine (after it is off) is not enough....eating away the battery and killing all the sensors...sooner or later..the aircon sensor will also kong. So all in all its gonna be 5K to repair....if the compressor kena...even worst.. But the coil does have 'not so cheapo' alternative...all together RM1.5K for non standard, not so cold aircon. What to do? Select the air circulation to inside the car...instead of outside air in...and off the aircon just before you shut down the engine (which i always forget to do) |

QUOTE(fantasy1989 @ Mar 24 2015, 08:17 AM) that day my friend open my 508 battery ..he almost gila ..so many cover need to remove Change to Din75, max size. I'm using that size for my 308in the end dont want remove ..straight check from battery store my 508 battery close to 2 years already ..still working fine ..but plan to change it before reach 2 years old pijot car sensor will gila after battery flat btw ..finally my car reach 21k of close to 2 years old ownership Anyway, trouble with Pugs is all are lemon cars. They are designed that way. If ppl say they got battery problem, HP pump problem, Fuel Pump problem, Top up engine oil issues, Aircon kong, Water intake, Turbo intake crack, Compressor Kong etc....chances you will get it is close to 90%. And its best the thing happens during warranty period. Most of my stuff change oledi, except the Fuel Pump and aircon compressor...and that fuel pump died last week without warranty....cost me RM1.7K to replace. That for me is a lot of money. I will be doing servicing for my aircon compressor very soon, cos I heard those stuff cost about 2`3K. I also have ongoing issues with my oil disappearing. Every 1K KM, need to top up 500ml. Even out of warranty, I hope Nasim still honor the issues as I reported that problem many times before expire. So whatever it is, pray it breakdown within warranty period. QUOTE(fantasy1989 @ Mar 24 2015, 09:51 AM) what i observed is the temperature that produced from engine bay is very high compared to other car There is no Battery technology that will save it from the heat in the engine bay.308 engine bay is very compact compared to my 508 ...my 508 if running at sunny hot day ...after come back for 15min ..when remove engine cover ...fuhhhh ..that heat come out ..it's even "hotter" than proton or other car ... probably heat is the main reason to KONG battery and degrade all other plastic material stuff like water tank btw ..maybe can drill some holes to let it release heat faster ..lel ya ..close to 2 years ..it's my weekend car ..1 week just drive around 3 days + Battery man told me this is the one of the major killers of battery, especially for our cars. Only way is not to stay at one spot too long. Example waiting for someone to finish her shopping while you are in the car. Another way is to add those fancy Turbo scoops. But problems is water will go in. If you notice, most (if not all) Contis have only 1 fan. A lot of ppl do own climateze the car (I've seen Merz and Porch) by adding another smaller fan . QUOTE(Matrix @ Mar 24 2015, 11:48 AM) What is Pollen filter?? Pollen filter is for the airconATF oil RM 7xx!!! Gila.... Labour RM 306!!! What they do? Carry your car with their bare hands?? For your info, Euro car aircon mostly default is outside air in, instead of Circulating interior air for Japanese and locals. So you know how Malaysia air is, compared to the controlled environment of Euro, aircon spoil very fast..and can easily cost up to 7K to repair. Normally it 5K, but outside can do it for 2K, but car not become cold anymore. |
