I agree that its a gross violation of her privacy and people who want to see her naked are just nosy pervs, yes, but I am still going to blame her for this.

I do NOT accept ignorance as an excuse ever. Fact is anything that gets on the internet stays on the internet. This is an open secret. Also, I think that anyone stupid enough to trust Apple with security deserves whatever happens.

What's even more interesting is that the hack was performed using social engineering. It wasn't some difficult technical feat that can only be achieved by skilled hackers. He simply guessed the passwords of various celebrities using readily available online information.

Hasn't adequate information been made available online about password security? What have we techies always been saying? Don't use birthdays, don't use names, don't use hobbies, or anything that can easily be tied back to you. Your password needs to be something secret that is not easily guessable.

To conclude:
- They were ignorant about password security.
- They are ignorant about the nature of the internet.
- They trusted Apple.

Somehow, I am supposed to sympathize or feel sorry for them? Nope, not going to happen. This could all have been avoided if they were just willing to spend a little time to educate themselves.

If your password can be hacked by using social engineering (which was what happened), than you don't know a damn thing about password security. Simple as that.

Also, I never disagreed that the hackers are at fault. What I'm saying is that the victims also carry some of the blame.

Take some lessons on internet security next time, or its your own damned fault what happens to you online.
