I today suddenly receive 2 message that my credit card have been used to purchase game in steam.

Total cost is JPY15000 + JPY20000

I'm not sure how and why did this happened, so i called my bank to block my credit card and check for the problem.

my question here is , how do i contact steam and is it possible to request them trace where did this transaction made?

I did searching around but can't raise any question at steam support.

You can contact steam suppork, but steam suppork is horribly selow due to lack of staff at Valve Corp.
Had an issue regarding Hitman Absolution once, took them a whole month before resolving my region lock issue (which ironically was purchased in MY and played in MY just to be blocked in mY)

how do i contact them? All i find is asking question with certain condition and they dont even have the selection that I want to raise the question.

Not related to Steam but I once kena charge with clothing company in US. Maybank can trace it and you just need to fill in a form that they provide for refund purpose. I got my refund in 2 weeks.

I've called my bank immediately after I receive the purchase message. Bank said they will block my card and dispute for me.

I just wanted to trace where is the purchase was made and I can't think of anywhere that I've been using my CC recently.

Yea, I have that account but they really have limited question can be asked. For my case, I don't see any related selection to raise the question.

is it message from Steam or the bank? if from Steam, the account that used the credit card should be listed there

It a msg from bank, notification for my CC have made purchase at STEAMGAMES.COM / WWW.STEAMPOWERED.COM

Cancel your card and get a new one. Your details might be stolen somewhere when you swiped your credit card/used it on online purchasing.

My latest transaction is with my insurance auto debit, then before that only is swipe for Hospital fee.

Sounds a bit scary if they can get my CVV number as well for purchase game in steam store. Also, during purchase the game, I didn't receive any TAC/PAC request. How come?

your cc details has been compromise. call the bank and cancel them.

also it really hard to get back the payment done from steam. it takes forever

Reminding that if you do a refund from bank,your steam account will be limited to play only,you won't be able to buy or trade game.

Problem is the game is not purchase under my steam account. I only use my steam account play free games. Didn't buy any game before.

Bank said that they will dispute the amount and reimburse me with credit, so just ignore the amount when my statement came out.

this may already too late, but by now I hope u already call your bank about the fake transaction and request your credit card to revoke. Ask them to replace a new card for you. You don't have to contact steam, the bank itself has the power to cancel the transaction alone.
