Hi all sifus around here. Given only these 2 choices, which AMP is more suitable for rock/pop rock music? I play mostly on the Rhythm part and sometimes solo as well. I play a lot of clean too

1) Marshall JCM 900 High Gain Dual Reverb
2) Fender Twin Reverb 65 Reissue

I would like to get am AMP which can gives the best sound for recording and also live performances out of the 2 given choices

they are both high powered amps, which is their best when driven. least if i remembered right la, marshall esp if not driven can sound like a buzz saw

note: JCM900 is a head only while the fender is a combo

Fender is the best clean tone I've encountered so far. But it has only the clean channel, so will the distortion sound weak if only relies on the Distortion pedal? I'm using 2 guitars at the moment - Fender & Gibson

do this

>go test fender twin reverb

>turn vol up to 8

>stand far far

>strum a power chord

after that all distortion pedals sounds weak, no boutique pedal is going to satisfy you.

fender twin is not weak, its you who is weak
