My advice, if you really want to go far in local dota scene, focus on raising your solo mmr first.
That's what i'm doing right now. I'm done playing for teams. I've lost my patience already, i'm done carrying other players. No more competitive dota for me until i reach 6k. If i can't do it, then i need to move on, find better things to do than wasting my time playing dota.
I have flatly refused to play for a team with sponsorship(team house + rm400 salary + can play free at cc) before, because i consider my potential teammates not good enough. RM400, you kidding me? i can earn more working at 7-11, even mmr booster earned more than that. Why bother with teams when playing solo mmr gives you better quality practice. Get to 6k, top teams will msg you and ask you to stand in for them. Sekarang zaman leaderboards, bukan zaman g-arena lagi. Sekarang semua team kutip player dari leaderboards je.
Your mmr right now doesn't matter. I've trained a 4.2k player to 5k before. Took him 4 month to reach 5.3k from 4.2k. Its not talent, its attitude. This game is never about skill, its your game knowledge, and it can be taught.
This might seem harsh, but in my opinion you must understand reality before you can achieve your goal.

QUOTE(Blues89 @ Oct 8 2014, 01:07 PM) making anew acct for good mmr is ntg, real skills are those frm low mmr and rise up to high mmr.kda means ntg if u dunno teamwork and teamplay to win. ive seen games of one sided pawnage but lose 1 war and let the feeding team comeback and win the game, does kda help in such situation?no :/ like kaizer said,if u can reach till5-6k mmr..theres a huge difference of playstyle and skill lv,they might feed but they can win the game Yes. Butterfly effect exist in dota. All it takes is 1 moment of brilliance from a high mmr player to change the tide of the game. What makes 6k players so good are intangible to players like us. Sometimes we might not agree with the decision made by that high mmr player or he might look average to us in that game. That's because our judgement are clouded by our cognitive bias. Our lack of game knowledge are preventing us from comprehending that high mmr player's decision. I've seen a 5.8k-5.9k meepo make a comeback from 2 rax down while my team still have T2 towers. He never joined fights that he cannot win, often times in that game he will let his teammates get wiped. When the right moment came, he joined the teamfight and raped us. To be honest i can micro my meepo as good as him, but its his patience and judgement that won him that game.
