I purchased a second hand UWA sigma lens (around feb2014) and it started to become faulty months ago .. im not sure of the reason i didnt drop it or what.. Main problem is with the focusing (the AF focus failed, its like keep trying to focus non stop) and the exposure automatically will step down to like -3 or very dark (like using ND but I didnt want it)... after further inspecting i think it has something to do with the aperture system or blades or bla. (whenever I switch to aperture mode and tried to push to higher F-stops it just automatically will stop functioning and there'll be an on screen message "Camera Error". I was like what....) Weirdest shit is sometimes it will work like normal, but after one or two shots it fails again. WTF!! *the first few weeks when I got the UWA theres no prob at all.. Sony a35 Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 location: penang/KL really wan to get the lens fixed as i really like it but dunno where to, is there a sigma service center? any suggestion? Getting Started

Maybe can try to clean the electronic contacts first for both your camera and lens and see will it helps? Cheers and hope is just an easy fix.............

could be a case of sticky aperture blades... when aperture closes below f/5.6 iinm, the AF doesn't get enough light to work (with the exception of the AF 500mm f/8 mirror lens only available in the Minolta/Sony A-mount family)

I've dropped a sigma 24-70 (the really OLD model) before and fixed it before for like...RM300? The service centre is on the 8th(?) floor of the BU8 building next to centrepoint's McD. Really good service, and the engineer there, Eugene I think, is quite a nice guy too. They might've moved, so you should give them a ring before heading over: https://www.facebook.com/apdmsigmaI messaged them on FB and they replied so...
